Ok it is time for my 5 month update. I'm now down to 221 from 337 that is 116 lbs!!!! That makes 16 lbs for this month. I'm now in a size 18 jeans and they are not tight!! I can wear a size 14/16 top. Everyone I know and people I don't know are making comments on how good I look. Even my husbands friends are telling me how good I look. It makes me feel weird. I had a good thanksgiving and didn't eat much. I took some pictures of front, back and side and I just got them back about a week ago and I almost cried. I couldn't believe it was me. I see myself everyday but it was so different to see it in a picture. I understand why people would say that this surgery messes with your head. I really don't see myself like I saw myself in those pictures. It is weird. I know my brain will catch up but I don't know when. I'm still very happy that I have had this surgery. I don't know where I would be without it. I don't miss sweets yet. I'm to happy with my weight loss to miss sweets. Christmas is coming soon and I'm almost done with all my shopping! I'm glad for that, but now I need to wrap!! Well I better get back to work. I will update with my six month info on Jan.12th. I also go to the doctors that day so I will update with that info to.

I'm going to update a day early from my 4 month. I'm down a total of 100 lbs as on today. I can now wear 18's and all my shirts are big on me. I lost 25 lbs this month. I'm not sure why but I'm happy with it. I have been tired more and need to make sure I get my protein in everyday. I'm very happy I had this surgery. I hope to lose another 60 to 70 lbs. I want to weight 170. That would be a very good day. The day I get on the scale and it says 170!!!!!!!!!!! Well I don't go to the doctors until Jan 12th 2006 for my 6 month update. I have been having a lot on fun. I go dancing with my husband all the time and I love it. If I would of been told 4 months ago that I would lose 100 lbs in 4 months I would of said whatever. But now I know it is true. This has been a great journey!!!

I need to update with my 3 month info. I went to the doctors Oct 12 which was my 3 month check-up. I was down 75 lbs. I was really happy because that was my goal. I was at 262. I now am down 81 lbs and weight 256 lbs. I'm so happy. I can now wear all my size 20 pants and XL fits good with tops. I want to be down 100 lbs by Christmas so that is another 19 lbs in 3 months. I'm sure I can do it. My blood work came out ok and I feel good. I do get tired in the afternoon but I make it. So I'm so happy that I had this surgery!!!

Well I'm down 66 lbs as of yesterday. I'm from 337 to 271 in 2 months and 1 week. My goal is to be down 75 lbs by Oct 12th. That will be my 3 month check up. I feel great and have been very busy with my daughter. She is playing soccer now and also does gymnastics on Saturdays. I'm trying to update more offen now. I will try and update at least twice a month.

Man I haven't updated forever. I'm now down 60 lbs in 2 months. I'm so happy. I was wearing 24 jeans and now my 20 jeans fit good. I'm so happy I had this done. I haven't had any problems at all. I feel great and never feel hungry. It is so weird that I don't get hungry yet. But I love it. I have been walking in the evening time at Grays lake. It is 2 miles a night. I need to go twice around but I haven't done that yet. I could but I just haven't. I just wanted to let everyone know I'm doing good and have no regets at all.

Well it has been for ever since I updated. I'm doing great. I'm down 50lbs so far and very happy. I started back to work yesterday and it went ok. I did have surgery lap with no problams. I go to the doctors tomorrow for my 6 week check. Just wanted to update that I'm doing good.

Well today is my last day at work. Tuesday is the BIG DAY. I'm a little nervous but I will be ok. I'm putting this surgery is Gods hands and I have faith that I will be ok. I'm going to go out to lunch with some friends on Saturday. That will be fun. My whole family is going to go up to the hospital with me on Tuesday morning. And my grandma is going to pick up my daughter from my house after I'm out of surgery. So I won't have to have her up there with me. My husbands cousin is going to watch her until my grandma can pick her up. I still have to pack but I have everything I need to take and everything I need for when I get home. I feel ready!!! The day has come I have waited for for over 6 months. July 12th will be my rebirthday!! So I will update once I'm on the losing side!!! Bye for now!!

I had my last appointment today. I had my EKG and Chest x-ray, and more blood work. I have a really big burse from the blood gas that was taken and also from the blood that was taken on Thursday. So now I'm done. Just have to wait until Tuesday now. Time is moving fast now. I'm really excited and nervous. I will try and update one more time before surgery. Please keep me in your prayers. Thanks. Oh I forgot to say that my husband got a letter from Aetna that shows that we are covered until July 17th. So it will be covered during surgery. I was so happy when we got that letter.

I went to pre op today at Mercy and I was there all morning. I had blood taken 2 times and blood gas taken also. The blood gas didn't hurt like I was told it would. She told me if she didn't hit a nerve I would be fine. Well she didn't hit a nerve and I was fine. I learned about the shots of blood thinner that I will have to give myself for 2 weeks. And about the 2 tubes that will be in me. And about the pre-op diet. So today was a lot of info. Next appointment is the one with my PCP on July 6th for the EKG and Chest X-ray. Oh and I have to be at the hospital at 6:00 am on the morning of surgery. Well I will update after my PCP appointment.

Ok last date Change. It is back to July 12th at 7:30 am. It is official. So 2 weeks away. Not long at all.
