I have a new date for my psych. It is March 4 with Dr Eaton with Mercy psych. I got a few e-mails about that place and hope it goes ok. That is the last thing I need before the surgeon can submit the request to my insurance. My PCP called Monday and had the letter to send to the surgeon. She was going to fax it Monday. So just one more thing. My PCP told me start Weight Watchers just in case my insurance wants something that shows a supervised Diet so I'm going to go next week and start that. She said the only supervised diet that she puts people of is if they are diabetic. So just going to start WW. Just in case it is needed. So I'll update when I know something knew.

My PCP told me that she doesn't put people on sup. diets. She does if they have diabetes, but not normally. So she told me to start weight watchers and if they need sup. diet that would be enough. I don't know if that is what the insurance is going to want or not. She is going to fax a letter of referral to the surgeon's office so that is good. One step closer to getting everything submitted to the insurance. Now for the psy. It was BAD!!!!! This guy was crazy. I didn't know were to go so I just found a person in the phone book. He only asked me a few questions about the surgery, and then started talking about how old I was when I got pregant (18 and married soon after) and stupid stuff like what me and my husband use for birth control. I was so mad when I left there. He wanted me to set up follow up appointments and I was like for what so you can talk about stupid stuff. So I told the lady at the front desk that I was going to go somewhere else. I'm not CRAZY. I know what I need. My PCP & surgeon agree with me and this guy didn't even ask me about the surgery. He knew that is why I was there. So I will updated with my new date for my psych.

Well my PCP wouldn't send a letter to Dr.Schwartz because she doesn't have anything in the records about problems do to being over weight. So the nurse said I need to come in and tell her about my back and knees problems. So I have an appointment for feb 8 also with her. I'm going to start a sup. diet also just in case my insurance wants it. I guess I don't lose anything starting it. I have heard it might be needed.

My first consult is done. Dr Schwartz was ok. He was very serious, but knows what he is doing. He answered all my questions. Now I have to have a psychiatric evaluation before they can send info to my insurance. I made an appointment for Feb 8 2005. My PCP didn't send a written referral so they also have to wait for that. I called her today and she said it will be done by next Friday. So that is it for none. This really fells like a big waiting game. I just want to know if my insurance is going to approve me. I want to tell my family, but I refuse to until I know for sure I'm approved. The doctor said I was a good candidate for the surgery so now it is up to the insurance. So I will just wait.
