Hi! Well my goodness it has been a long time! It's been 8 years!!! I tell you it has been a long haul. I still have problems with my intestines and malabsorbtion issues but I can say Im pretty. lol I lost way too much weight and had to have a feeding tube put in when i was down to 89 pounds. but I gained the weight needed to take it out. that was a few years back. Now Im around 130 and lol am back to trying to loose it down to 115. It truely has been a yo yo. I never stopped having the migraines. The plastic surgeries went well. i wish i new how to add a picture on here and I would update what i currently look like. hmmm I will still try that. i wont sugar coat it, my surgery was a mess. I struggled for years now to survive. I am currently fine. other than the migraines. I still vomit alot and have gastroparesis. and now seizures too. I never had those before but dont know if its tied together or not. I have has so many complications and hospitalizations and even life flighted for emergency surgery. ughhh but when Im not having problems Im happy with myself. I love being normal. as in not obese anymore. so im thankful for that. i guess its a give and take. some days i can say i dont regret my surgery but honestly most i cant. but i am still happy that im me again. i just try and forget the negative side of this trip. it works for me. lol. its good to come back and read all the nice things everyone has said to me and I thank you all!!! and Patti!!! girl i will never ever for get you and all the compassion you showed me. bless you hun!!! big hugs!!! take care everyone!!!

Hello Every one!!!!!! Well I am happy to share it was just a bad flu case I had hehehe My first one since my surgery so that explains the nervousness of not knowing what was going on. Well I quit one job and am doing much better with more home time to boot! I am down to 115 pounds from the 227..In a sz 14 girls up to the 4 petites. I said on my last update I would send a new picture and forgot so sorry. I am gonna do that right now. Love and kisses Tammie

Tammie, You look great, even before WLS. I pray you are just over-doing it, and I'm sure there is a logical explanation for what's happening. I enjoy reading people's "stories" and someday if the time comes, I too will have my own. Hang in there and keep us updated please....I'm sure encouragement is the watchword even after all the success you've enjoyed thus far. Take care and God bless...Eric

Hello Everyone!!!! Just thought I would give an update on myself!!! LOL Its been a year now and I am doing great in general! Im down to a sz 4!!!!! But I worry about long term health issues still at times. I to go to the Dr today because Ive been having some unexplained pain for about a week now and have lost alot of muscle strength and I worry about my heart...(being a muscle an all) and they did an ecg and lots of blood work...this was all with my pcp and she wants me to get in with Dr Allen asap for his opinion as well. But if I had put an update on here a few weeks ago I would not have anything but good news! I am much happier with life thats for sure. I may just be working too hard since i have two jobs back to back everyday with no days off. Maybe Im just run down. But that wouldnt explain the pain just above the belly button...ohhh well I just pray its just a little something to address and no big things. As you all know Im a big baby when it comes to pain....LOL Just ask Patti that one. Bless her heart I love her to death she is one awesome lady!!!!!!!! Well I will send a new pic of me since Im now down to 120 pounds from the 227 I started at one year ago!! Ive lost a whole me!!! I pray you all are well and God bless each and every one of you! FINAL REPORT ON TAMMIE SUE, FOR ALL THOSE THAT HAVE BEEN E-MAILING ME. She is fine and at home recouping. She had her first meal the other day and kept that down. She was so happy to be home and out of the hosp, so I want to thank everyone who kept up with Tammies progress she and I appreciate your concern,,,take care all ...Patti in ky

Last Angel Report on Tammie Sue.....She is out of the Hosp, I went to ge see her yesterday and someone else was in her room , so I assume she was released, She did not call to let me know. So her recovery will now continue at home, but please still keep her in your thoughts she has alot of healing to do.....Thank you all who posted notes to me to see how she was and keeping the faith. Angel reportin on Tammie sue, so sorry I haven't updated you all............Tammie is not doing so well, she is in so much pain and is calling me all the time at home telling me she cannot take it anymore. She is very weak and cannot eat anything, I spoke to the surgeon and he said that she was doing well but it takes time for her to heal. Her husband, Gary , called me and was real worried that her blood count was done and that she would have to be transfused again , but the doctor says her white blood cells are fine and that if they were to go back down he would give her blood. Tammie is strugglin in there and half the time is incorherent because of all the morphine they are giving her, the doctor put a continous pump of morphine plus a extra jolt every 6 minutes. I talked to her yesterday and she sounded alot better but she says she is still wek, Please keep her in your prayers. The doctoe says it was a success but I am starting to think it was not. She has had so many problems, IE the nurses do not want to deal with her so they ignore her, let her cry all day in the hosp, they "forget" to give her her medicine, she had a panic attack in the hosp and the doctor wrote her a prescription at 1:00 pm and I had to call the doctor at 6:00 asking why she never recieved that medicine, she was still having her panic attack, they finially came in at 6:10 and gave her her medicine, it semmd like it is one thing after another with her and the nurses. They are very cold and not caring at all, I asked them for a extra robe to take Tammie for a walk and you know that 1 and a 1/2 hours later never recieved the robe, until I was ready to leave. I am having Tammie file a complaint about those nurses. I am so sorry she has to go through this being mistreated at a hosp who claims they are the best and patient care comes first. I am sorry to ramble but I am very angry. I have my surgery on the 12th of NOv and this makes me think twice about having it, Please keep her in your thoughts and prayes, I will update after I talk to her again.........TAKE CARE ALL AND THANKS FOR CARING,,,,,PATTI IN KY
