I guess that my story is not too uncommon. I was only slightly chubby in elementary school. When puberty hit, I failed to out-grow my "puppy fat". I went on weight watchers and lost about 40lbs and wore a size 7 dress to my senior prom. I regained some weight in college, and got married in a size 14 wedding dress. After 3 years, baby # 1 came along and I gained A LOT of weight. I had run into some complications with the pregnancy and spent 14 weeks on modified bedrest. I had applied and been accepted to nursing school when I found out that baby #2 was on the way. I had managed to lose only a small part of the weight that I had gained during the first pregnancy. Between work, school, DH, and DD I had a lot of stress and coped by eating too much. I struggled many, many times to try to loose the weight after #2 (my DS) was born. He is now 15 and I find myself about 100 lbs overweight. I have high blood pressure, asthma, fibromyalgia,an arrythmia and a HUGE family history of diabetes. I feel that the lap-band is my BEST chance of loosing the weight permanently and improving my health
