Well i know i should be posting my life story here but I can't seem to figure out where to start. I guess at the beginning. LOL How obvious is that. LOL
Ok so here goes.. I was born in Illinois in 1968.... Ick ok not that far back.. LOL
I live in Louisiana with my husband John. We have been married since June 14, 1998. My birthday is April 20, 1968. So at this time I am 38 years old.
I have always been over weight and I think I have tried every diet known to man. Nothing seems to work for me. I would lose the weight then it would just creep back on. Crazy. Every New Year's resolution was to lose weight and become healthy. I have been very lucky that I do not have any health problems associated to being obese. My family has a big history with Diabetes, heart disease, high cholesterol etc. But so far I have been lucky.
I understand when they say your body gets used to a certain weight and that is where it stays.. My body is pretty comfy with me being 355 lbs. I am not. I am 5'10" tall which helps stretch the weight out. I have always known i was fat but i never realized how fat i was until i got married. OMG.. I wanted to know whose butt was in my dress.
So over the past few years i have crawled up and down the scale doing all the fad diets. Until here I sit. Waiting to have Weight Loss Surgery.
I can't wait to start my journey on the losing side. I know it will be hard. And I know this surgery is just a tool to assist me losing the weight. I know that in the end it is all up to me to become a sucessful WLS patient. And i am ready.
Ok so my journaling will give you a bit more about me and what i am doing through out this journey.
I hated seeing this blank spot down here. So now it has some info about me.. ;O)
