Congratulatins on the start of your new journey. The next few days may see you on an emotional rollercoaster but if you keep yourself busy and keep your mind on other things you will be ready and calm for the big day. Good luck on your journey to the losing side. May you have a quick recovery and be back on your feet soon. Sarah G Lap RNY 6/22/04 295/281/150

Congratulations on your surgery date! I have some Zen Wisdom for you - Nothing exists but momentarily...One thing flows into another...observe things as they are, let everything go as it goes. This is to put everything under control in its widest sense. --- May God keep you close to his side as you travel your new journey. You will have ups and downs. You can always turn to us, your AMOS family, we will give support, comfort and encouragement. You will find this will be the best thing you could ever have done for yourself as well as your family. I know that was true for me. Keep us posted when you reach the "other" side. I pray for a speedy and easy recovery for you. Don’t forget to update your profile at least monthly. We all like to see how we are doing!!! Make sure you take pictures. It’s great to see the new you emerge!!! Not to mention the look on YOUR face when you look at those pictures and compare them in a few months! It’ll be a BIG WOW!!! Please remember too, that this is a *tool* to use. Make sure you use it wisely. The first year it’s pretty easy, after that I’ve been hearing (I’m not speaking from experience as I’m not a year out yet) that it gets increasingly difficult. Choose the right foods and measurements wisely! Good luck and God Bless!!! RNY 10/31/03 down 99 pounds!!!

Hi Mike! So sorry, I meant to post this to you. Big congratulations on your surgery date! I bet you are so excited! Just hang in there and try to be patient! Don’t worry if you are nervous, scared, excited or go through a thousand of different emotions. This is all normal, so go with the flow! There’s really nothing you can do with the all those feelings surfacing. You may start to doubt yourself and question your decision to have surgery. Just about everyone has had this happen to them. You’re making a decision to have a better quality of life and YOU deserve it!! That gut feeling or that little voice inside lets you know that you’re doing the right thing! Remember that we’re all family here and we’re here to give you our support, lend an ear and not judge. There are lots of us who have had surgery and are in your corner rooting for you!! I just wanted you to know that I was thinking about you today and that you are in my thoughts and prayers for a successful, problem-free surgery and recovery. I’m so happy for you. Soon you will be on the other side and will join the ranks of the losers. Get ready for your life to change forever. Wishing you much success in your weight-loss journey. Hugs to you today. Hi Mike, I too am a pre-op, approved for WLS from BCBS and am awaiting them to come to an agreement with BTC!! I hope they can arrange something soon! I wish you all the best, and much success in your journey!! I just came across this quote and wanted to pass it on to you: "When you know what you want, and you want it bad enough, you will find a way to get it."--Jim Rohn Take Care, CJ
