Hi everyone, my story started 2/4/2008. I was not nervious at all, my surgery was at 1:00pm and everything was excellent until, GAS came to the picture. OUCH!! how it hurts. I trying my best to keep upbeat about the surgery, I know that better days will come. I want to believe this is my new beginning.

This is the first time in 5 days that i could stand up with no help, i feel much better but everything i eat or drink makes me nauseous. Gas has been a relief, (GASX is the best).

Haven't post in a while. I'm 7 weeks out and i've lost 48lbs. I'm almost half way. My suggestion is PROTEIN, PROTEIN, PROTEIN...and more PROTEIN.
My regular day menu go like this:
Breakfast
1. 11oz Atkins Advantage .......15g protein
Lunch
1/2 turkey and bacon sandwich with whole wheat bread. (i take one of the breads out and eat the inside)
Snack
1 Atkins Advantage Protein bar, Peanut butter Crisp (11g), Chocolate Chip Crisp (13g) or Cinnamon Bun (12g)
Dinner
8oz of chicken soup (i have the stock, of course the chicken and some of the vegetables) if there is any rice or noodles or potatoes i won't eat them.
Snack before bed
Popcorn (love it!) or a piece of cheddar cheese.
Of course this is not the only thing i eat everyday but it is an example of 3 to 4 days a week for me.I have to say that this is the best thing i have ever done. I love my RNY. I would do it all over again and for the first time i have to say that i don't miss FOOD, i dont miss sweets, cookies, candies, chocolate (the thought of sweet makes me sick, literally). I drink DIET snapple and i have to mix it with water because it is too sweet. I don't have any soda.
I thanks GOD because he is great and because he was the one that is in control of everything in my life, specially my RNY.
RNY is part of my life, is it part of yours?

Almost 3 months post-op and feeling fabulous, im 60lbs down and 40 more to go. 3 months ago i would have never thought this would be possible. This has been the best experience of my life. I would do it again and again and again. It is completely surreal, and talking about surreal, I can now fit on a regular XL, not on the plus size, but regular sizes. I have not been this size since 2000.
I take my protein and my supplements religiously, drink my water and research (look at protein, sugar, carbs) everything i put into my mouth. I do 3 miles 4 to 5 times a week. Life is good and this surgery has given me a second chance to live my life fully.
