I am happily married
of 21 years; with two wonderful sons, ages 20 and 15. I am 49 years old, from Illinois. They are supporting me in my new endeavor in life. I have been yo-yo dieting for a long time, Weight Watchers numerous times, phen-phen, losing then gaining back plus more. I have recently been diagnosed as a border line diabetic - since it is in the family - I am very concerned - another reason to have the surgery. I have thought about Lap Band for a couple of years, and have started the process back in May of last year and now it is time to have my surgery. I am so ready for this challenge! I want to start looking good and feeling good about myself and most of all be healthy........I love reading all of your comments before and after. keep them coming....... I need the support.......
Alittle update.......after having lap band surgery I am no longer on my medications, thyroid, and blood pressure medicine,which I have my blood pressure checked regularly--so that is a big plus to be off of them. The month is September and I have officially lost 45 pounds since my surgery. It looks like I average around 10 pounds a month..........I know you still have to watch everything that goes in your mouth, but having the band is so much better than on your own.....I still would recommend it to anyone
