Hello!
I'm 52 years-old and live in Pensacola, FL with my daughter and 2 month old granddaughter. I work full-time as a middle school, special education teacher. The work is challenging and I love it.
I am extremely excited about having the opportunity to finally do something lasting about my weight. I have struggled with weight issues almost all my life, and I have been obese for the past 15 years.
I take 3 medications for hypertention, and I have weight related ankle pain. Still, the worst thing about being obese is that people don't seem to notice me anymore. I feel like an invisible woman. That is, until I made my first visit to Dr. Lord's office. Everyone was so nice. Even the other patients in the waiting room were friendly.
I'm posting this profile because I want to meet others who are on their journey toward a leaner, healthier lifestyle. Within the next two weeks I will meet with the nutrtionist and psychologist. I had my labs, CXR, and gallbladder ultrasound done this morning.
