I am a 37 year old, mother of two, and a PROUD Army wife. My story is much like everyone else's. I have been fat my whole life. My mom put me on my first diet by age 9. I've gained, I've lost, and ultimately gained again.
I was slated for surgery in 2002. I had gone through all of the steps to get surgery scheduled. I had a few glitches with my insurance, and during the process of getting everything straightened out, I lost weight. Not just a couple pounds, either. Nearly 50 lbs. total. Yay me. So WLS was no longer an option for me.
By March 2005, guess what? ALL of the weight crept back. I was back to my heaviest weight ever. It sickened me!! I started the process again. And away we went.......
