Where to start? I guess my story isnt much different than anyone elses. I have struggled with my weight for more than half my life. I finally decided that I wanted to live my life, so researched WLS. The morning of surgery I weighed in at 293 whopping pounds. Never in my life could I have imagined being that big, but there I was. the first few months post op were ruogh for me. I was throwing up constantly, naseaus ALL the time and generally miserable. I was finally diagnosed with an ulcer that was treated and things have been better ever since. I still struggle on a daily basis with the demons that got me "fat" in the first place, but I am in a much better place to deal with them now. I am currently holding at 140 lbs and training to run a half marathon.
I went through alot of self discovery and awareness through this journey. I was married when I started this journey, my husband couldnt handle my changes. I decided to end my marriage, I went through this surgery so that I could lead a fulfilled, happy life, and that just wasnt happening with him.
If there is anything else you would like to know about me, please feel free to ask.
