Well it's been a while since I've blogged..but i'm making a lot of progress. My surgeon is very pleased with my results although I was hoping to have lost a bit more then what I have.
I'm now down approx. 105 lbs since my surgery last June..and at my last checkup he decided that once I get down to 200 lbs. he was going to start the referall progress for the plastic surgery if I wanted..I'm having second thoughts though, not about having the surgery but the timing. I think I might inform him that I may want to wait until I lose a bit more weigth. I want to see if I can get down to my own personal goal of between 130-140 lbs. so we shall see.

Since I started this journey with him and his nurses I've lost 86 lbs..actually he said I'm almost doing too well. He originally set the goal weight for me at 200 lbs, but since I was already three quarters of the way there he decided to lower it to 170 lbs. I think that's a good goal but I set one for myself personally at around 130 lbs.
I get on the treadmill as much as I can, usually 30 to 45 minutes every other day at least.
All my old clothes are now falling off of me but I don't have much money to buy new ones yet so I'm constantly hitching them up. My fave pair of black jeans I can no longer wear they just fall right off onto the floor when I walk. That's the one piece of clothing I'm going to keep from my 'fat days' to remind myself of how far I"ve come and what I've done to get this far so I don't fall back into those old habits again.
Either fortunately or unfortunately for me, not sure which I can still eat anything I want, including sugar..so I DO have to practice disclipine and willpower. The only thing that has made me have to vomit is cooked broccoli and potato skins.
I will admit I have on occasion slipped up for instance at my father's 70th b'day party there was some non-alchoholic punch made with diet pop and I had some and a couple of weeks ago I did go out with some friends and have 3 smirnoff ice vodkas and a sourpuss shot..and nothing happened to me..

Right after the meeting the very next day my monthly period started which I hadn't had since I was 16 years old, I was told by doctors it was because of my weight that it had stopped, and it appears as though they were right.
Since that meeting almost a month ago, it'll be a month on the 26th I've lost another 15 pounds, so I'm a bit happier again.
I've read about so many peeps having problems with eating and trying new things..and I haven't had any. I actually went to the Diplomat yesterday with a friend who was down from Nova Scotia and I had 2 chicken balls, steamed rice and one garlic wing. Sometimes I wish I had more problems cuz it takes a lot more willpower to not go overboard and to stay doing what you should do. Yesterday we also had a bbq family party at my sister's and I had a scoop of potato salad, a scoop of caesar salad, 2 sweet n sour meatballs, and a roll..Then after they brought out all the sweets, cherry cheesecake, blueberry crumble, and my fave death by chocolate and I hope I didn't offend them but I had to get up and leave where they were and get away from it all.
I also joined the local YMCA here last week and I went three times last week. I enjoy it quite a bit..So far I can manage to do half an hour on the treadmill and 20 mins on the recumbant lifecycle and then I have sweat dripping off my eyebrows. I'm going to try and make it to the gym 4 times a week. I"m also going to upload a new pic my sister just took of me a couple of days ago so you can see what the difference in 2 months has been. I can't see the difference myself yet but everyone else does and comments.

I do have a hard time getting all the food in..so I don't know maybe I'm not eating enough..and the water's been a bit hard to get in too..so I've been trying harder with that now.
I have lost around 15 inches since though and my clothes are loose so that's good.
I just hope I start to lose steadily again soon because lately I've been wondering if it was worth it to have the surgery if I'm not losing any.
Update 12 lbs Down

Only had minimal back pain in the hospital, and that was it..No pain since I didn't even get my pain medicine prescription filled, didn't need it.
Got home on Thursday June 7th and promptly weighed myself I had gained while in the hospital going from 292 lbs to 295 lbs..but that's due to all those fluids they pump into you, I was told.
So today I weighed myself again and I'm down 12 lbs. to 283 lbs..so I'm happy!

So now it's scheduled for June 5th. I'm not at all nervous anymore..just anxious to get it over and done with. Four years of waiting is long enough to get yourself prepared.
I'm following the 3 week pre-op diet once again and it's so hard to follow cuz I'm hungry constantly..and I mean so hungry that my stomach actually hurts and keeps me awake at night.
I swear if they end up cancelling it this time for some reason that will be it. I will tell them no more, to take my name off the list. I've put so many things on hold over these years, such as moving and such..and I'm no longer willing to do it once again.

In the meantime you have to follow a 1200 a day calorie diet that Dr. B and his nurse outlines in the book they give you.
This time when she weighed me I had lost another 10 lbs..so I was pleased. She said that in 2 weeks time when I go back for the test results they'd like to see at least 5 more lbs gone..that shouldn't be too hard.
Although I'm starving right now..Have a constant headache and feel a bit woozy..but I'll get over it.

Nathalie informed me that I was 4th of the surgery list so to expect to have my gastric bypass surgery in late March or early April. That's good enough for me.
I've been consistently losing since the consultations and the pre-surgery info session and the consent paper signing. I've lost 16 lbs altogether on my own since. My goal is to get down below 300 lbs which is a very attainable goal since when I signed my consent papers I weighed 310 lbs. then.
Plus I'd rather have my parents travel in the spring when there's no chances of winter storms etc...since we have to drive almost 2.5 hours to get there.
