One Year Mark

May 01, 2019

One year ago today I went to the doctor.  I stepped on the scale like I would at every appointment, and weighed in at 225.  This was down from a few years ago, but I wasn't happy with the numbers I saw.  I had been fighting regain weight for several years at this point, and I knew I needed to finally step it up and really commit.  It's a year later and I'm over 50 lbs down.  I've worked hard this past year.  Some months I lost, some months I gained, but in the end I've done well.

So I'm wondering what others are doing to stay motivated.  For me, I look at old pictures from several years ago, both from my highest and lowest weight.  It's a good reminder why I'm on this path and what I need to do to stay on it.

So what do you do?
