Jun 12, 2014

Well, by reading my 11month post-op. I am so sorry to report that now that I am almost 3 years out. I have gained 30lbs. And have been at 280ish for almost a year. Just stopped.

I eat unhealthy...i snack all day. I make poor choices. I let pop back into my diet....Im just so sad.

But this week, I made a change. I was 285. and i was like THATS IT. im almost 300lbs. Im so done with this. I want to be smalled. I was 53lbs away from being under 200lbs. I havent been under 200lbs in FOREVER. its been so long. I want it so bad.

So this past Monday I made the change and Im happy to report this tursday I have lost 2lbs. YAY. small victory towards a big goal. Wish me luck.

8 1/2 Months POST-OP

Jun 26, 2012

Well down 132lbs.

YAY

Im trying to work out more, and eat better. Still have some bad habits. I am working on it...always a work in progress.
But it feels good.
Went from a size 28 pants to a size 18/20. Still slowly winding downward.

BEST decision I ever made.

May 21, 2012

Well 7 1/2 monthes post op. And still at a stand still. I gained 2 lbs. So now I weigh 269lbs. 125lbs down.
I made a decision that I need to change some things up. Do a quick one week liquid diet, and get back on track.

Well, stepped on the scale 267. it is nice...in 6 1/2 months I have dropped 127lbs. However I feel like im at a stand still. I have reintroduced bad snacky foods into my diet, just becuase...LOL. there empty calories, they taste good and there just easy to eat. Not always do they make me feel good, since eating sugar bothers me. But...I have slipped back into that bad habit.
I have contacted my nutrionist, and we are going to meet in 2 weeks, in the meantime I am doing a food log for her, to write down what foods I eat during the day, how much im drinking and such.

I work out on Mondays and Thursday, and try to stay active on the weekends. I know I need to step that up, but for now Im working on my diet.

Wish me luck

6 months POST-OP

Apr 10, 2012

Well, Im half way to a year POST-OP and feeling pretty good.
I just got back from a vacation to Knoxville to celebrate my birthday and 6 months out from RNY. It was awesome going out at night feeling like I can move more, and be more comfortable in my skin. I could go clothes shopping and try on shoes. I just felt SO MUCH BETTER!!! I went last year, and idk, it was hard for me to walk places close to 400lbs. NO CLOTHES fit me at any stores except Lane Bryant and Avenue, or Torrid. It just wasnt fun being that size, and when we went out at night. NO ONE looked or danced at me. How horrible...i just felt bad.

ANYWAYS, enough about the past. Im currently 124lbs down, starting weight 394, now I weigh in at 272. I stil have 73 lbs to go till I get to my goal of 100lbs. its a personal goal, and I want to achieve it before my year is up in October.

I am at a 2 week plateau and lately it seems like I have a bottomless pouch. i need to get on track with working out, and stop eating junk food...its a bad habit and idk...i just need to stay away from it. I do not drink pop amymore, I did like 2 months post-op but I just dont like how it makes me feel. Now its either coffee...tea or water. Yes I know the coffee and tea both have caffeine I need to be smarter about that too. But its the snaky foods that are killing me. Im gonna ween myself I promise. I did do fast food like twice a week...smarter options, but I still did it, and IM REALLY working on not making that an option for lunch or dinner. these bad habits are gonna get me right back to 400lbs.
So im a work in progess...still have goals and I will meet them.

Thanks for reading and your support.

Here I am...birthday shoe shopping :)

3 months POST-OP

Dec 28, 2011

Hiiiii
so sorry I have not been on for a while. What a BAD blogger I am.

well, happy to report im 3 months post-op and 88lbs down. Feeling good...finally.
I had LOTS of complications to surgery. Bariatric surgery itself went fine, smooth...however 2 days after surgery, I had a bowel obstruction and had to have another surgery to correct my bowel. There was a suture placed that kinked the bowel, and made me vomit and have nausea...always.

Then I did fine for about two weeks, and then apparantly my body was going through hormonal changes due to the surgery and I was always nauseated and vomitted several times a day. SUPER smell sensitive. I hardly ate, due to the fact either I couldnt stand the smell or, I couldnt hold the food down.

I was in the hospital over Thanksgiving due to a complication of an Endoscopy they performed.

BUTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT after all of that, happy to report, for a month now im doing better. Eatting reg. diet. happy, back to my old self...smaller older self.

I am however a tad vitamin deficit...so im itching all the time, but im hoping to UP my calcium intake and make sure I take a multivitamin daily to help absorb it in my system and make the itching stop.

If you ask me, if i would do it all over again, I would!!! I really would, although I wouldnt wish nausea and vomiting upon anyone, in the end, I made it through. Losing weight and regaining a healthier, happier life. :)
