I'm a 43 year old mother of 1 grown boy age 21. I've been overweight for as long as i can remember. It's taken me 5 years to get to the point of really getting serious and not so nervous about having surgery. Between the nerves and deaths in the family, I got put on the back burner for a while but not without still reading alot online about gastric bypass. I'm so excited that I am finally really ready to put myself ahead of everyone else for a change. It's like I get to start over. It will also be nice to not be the heavy one in the family. My husband and son have been wonderful through all of this. They tell me that I'm fine just the way I am, but they will help me in any way they can.
