Feeling a little discouraged.  I lost 10 lbs on pre-op and 16 in the 1st month... Was hoping to lose more quickly. 

I'm almost two weeks out and getting ready for pureed foods.  Can't wait to have something savory!  I'm amazed at how well I feel.  Have lost 12lbs in 12 days... AWESOME!

Start clear liquids for my pre-op tomorrow...... 5/20

 

Started the pre-op diet today..... I AM HUNGRY!  But I can do this... Supplemented the Optifast with clear liquids.  This is getting real....

Had my pre-op appointment.  Was concerned about the bougie size but thanks to my friends on OH I've decided to trust my doctor's judgment and my ability to stay on plan.

 

May 22, 2013.   Nervous but excited.

 

I've been considering WLS for several years. I'm still unsure but have begun the process while l process..  I was underweight for the majority of my life and then developed diabetes and have been gaining weight ever since!  With my sugars out of control and four young children, I have to do something.  I work out regularly. LOVE it. It really helps my mind.  However, my waistline isn't changing fast enough for me and fighting the sugar beast is maddening.  So here I am. Lurking on OH trying to figure this out.
