i made it to two years post op on July 12th. what a ride :) i am still so glad that i chose to have a healthier and happier life. NO REGRETS!! i am at my stopping point as far as the weight i do believe...i made down to a size 14/16 and ive been sticking there. i have my two year post op appointment on the 17th. i am a bit nervous. i will let you know how that goes.....

hi there everyone.......its been 14 months since my surgery and im still loving every minute of it. im down to 222 (give or take a few) and im wearing a 14/16. never thought i could get that small.  going from a 30/32 (in some clothes) to a 14/16 is fabulous. im a tall girl 5'11'' so i dont think i can get any smaller but im sure as hell going to try. things are slowing down for me and i need to maintain the good habits i have created to continue my success. i really enjoy going to the meetings and talking with everyone else from the newton/wellesley program. it really grounds you and reminds you every day the reasons you began your journey. what a wonderful world i continue to live in...i am truly blessed.
i want to give you an update on my better half as well.....my hubby is down 190 lbs. he is a great role model for me and my cheering section all at the same time.

just checking in and saying hello to everyone!! weight is coming off slower now so i need to remember my basics. 90% fuel 10% joy!!! thank god for the hubby being here to support me. my goal is to get to 200lbs which my doctor said would be a struggle to accomplish unless i really worked hard.....here is where i need to kick myself into high gear! 
i hope everyone had a wonderful holiday....keep up the good work!!

hi again everyone!! glad to see everyone.....hope you all are enjoying the new year as well. not a lot to report....down over 100lbs.!!! woo hoo. almost 6 months out and i am enjoying going into the "regular stores" and buying clothes right off the racks. im a pretty tall girl 6' and im down to the 250's right now!!! im in the teens for clothing and what a feeling that is.........my husband is down 151 lbs and i am so proud of him. we are calling him the rum boy!! 151 rum...ha ha ha anyway. i wish you all continued success....id love to chat with anyone who has questions or just wants to talk. take care!!

hi everyone......im am so excited!!! i am now down 73lbs. i made it past the 300lb mark and it feels so good to be in the 200's again....woo hoo!!       its been interesting...... getting to eat and chew again. i have had a couple episodes with chicken and a meat ball that made me get sick but its all so worth it. im sure i didnt chew enough or i ate too fast. 
my 13 month old daughter started walking sept 1st and i could not be any more proud of her. she has such confidence in every step.....what a heartwarming moment.......those are the moments that re assure me that i have done the right thing and i will be around a long time for my husband and children. i wish everyone continued success.....:)

hi everyone!!!!  its going to be a month tomorrow and i am hoping to be down under 300lbsfor a total loss of 62+ lbs. we shall see.....i was at 301.7 this morning. wish me luck. so far i feel like nothing ever happened. its the weirdest thing.......im doing pretty good but i will start on solids tomorrow so we shall see how that goes. im hoping that it will be just as wonderful of an experience as it has been so far. im looking forward to chewing!!! my clothes have been getting real big and i have needed to get some new shorts to get me through the summer........cant wait til i buy a whole new wardrobe...yeah!!! woo hoo....i did go out and cut my hair.....i took 7-8 inches off and made it all flippy and sassy. its cute and my husband loves it.....does everyone change their hair? i noticed a lot of profiles with significant hair changes........i love my new doo!!! take care....i'll check in soon

ok when is the last time you lost 12lbs in a week??? i was so excited when i went to get weighed in. the doc said everytthing looked great and cleared me to drive........im still sore but i feel great and this is still the best thing i ever could of done for my self and my family. by the way....my hubby is down 85lbs!!! im down 50lbs now!!! woo hoo...

hey there.......i got home from the hospital yesterday and i couldnt of been more excited to sleep in my own bed........there is just something about not having to wake up every 2 hours to get you vital signs taken......it was a great experience. the sugery went very well and and i feel pretty good. the way it feels is kinda like someone kicked you in the stomach.......not too bad. i  made it though....it is so worth it.

im off to the hospital.....see you all real soon. on my last weigh in i was down 34lbs.....im looking to get below 200lbs. its a tough goal but i think i am worth it, right?take care
