Today was a wonderful day. I went to school got through my LPN class which was on pediatric math and IV calculations. Then went to Anatomy and physiology and had my first test it was ok.
I then went to a meeting with my best friend who is in rehab. I am so glad to see how well she is doing. She is such an awesome person when she is clean. I have so much hope she gets better. We got to visit and talk like we haven't in such a long time. I am so happy and excited about the road I am on and my bestie will be here with me to help me along the way!!!
I have hope that tomorrow will bring another awesome day :-)

New to gastric

Hello,
I am new to everything on here. I am tryin to find my way around but it does take awhile. I have decieded to have the RNY done. I have my frist appt on 2/23/12 and I am so excited but scared of the road head of me. I am a mother of 4 beautiful children. Kaleb my oldest is 11, Dominick 10, Samantha 8 and Desaray 6. They are the light in my eyes I love them all so much but with the weight it hard for me to move and play games with them. I am 30 years old 5'4" and weight about 245. I am also a type 1 diabetic for the last 10 1/2 years. I am also in nursing school. I only have 1 try at getting the RNY and if I mess up I won't be able to get it. The group I am seeing stopped taking my ins but will honor my appt/surgery. I think that puts a lot of pressure on my shoulders BUT i will get through this. I also have decided to quit smoking before I go to the appt so that is alot going on. I just hope with the help here and my will power it will be enough to get me through all of this.
I realize the last couple of days that some of my supporters aren't going to be as supportive of this decision. Some comes down to not wanting to make a change and jealousy. I wish this were untrue but my friend who told me about this told me it would come to this i just didn't know it would be soo soon. I am thankful i registered on this site because I can see how supportive everyone is of others.
