Hi everyone.  I am 5 days post op and doing well!  Just today i was able to get up to 60g of protien. Yay!!  

I am concerned that my surgeon did not do a leak test before or after being discharged?  Dont they always do this type of test?  I asked him specifically during my stay and he told me he doesn't do them.  Any thoughts?

 Well, I made it.   Had to stay an extra day because when they went to remove my stomach it burst inside and I needed to be on antibiotics.  Has anyone here experienced  that?

Also, any suggestions on how to get the full 80g of proteins?  Thanks everyone!!-

I am 3 days away from my surgery, and this past weekend I had my Christmas Party for work. 

My meal was suppose to be a cream soup (as my 2 week pre op is 3 shakes per day, broth, etc.)  But they did not have that info (everything was pre ordered in advance) and I was served a Grilled Chicken breast, garden salad, and sweet potatoes..  Not ideal, but I felt bad that the owner (very frugal) was across the table from me.  So I praticed my chewing skills and had most of the salad (no dressing), the chicken and a few bites of sweet potatoes.  I skipped the dessert and had water to drink.  That evening I felt like crap!!!  I am back on my shakes and normal pre op routine.  Will this "cheat" affect anything with my surgery?  Has anyone been through something like this?  Your opinion matters to me and I appreciate any comments...  good or bad.  Thanks!!

I was told by my docs that my sleeve would be the size of a small banana..  I have read that they are made in different sizes?  If anyone could give some insight to this I would greatly appreciate it.  Surgery 12/10/2015!!!!

I am going on my 3rd day of liquid.  I am in accounting,so it's not like I am very active.  But today I just want to lay down and rest.  Does this lazy feeling go away?.  Surgery countdown 8 days!!
