Still maintaining and doing well.... Still not so good on the exercising although my eating is mostly good so the weight is holding steady between 168 - 174.... Very happy with that.... I had gained back around 50 pounds a couple years ago, of course it came on slowly, but I have managed to take it back off and keep it off for over a year now.... YEAH ME!!!!

I am now starting to explore my options for Plastics and can't wait to get rid of all this skin... I think after losing around 140 pounds and keeping it off, I deserve something to make me feel even better now about myself.....  I have had a few consults, found the doctor that I want and am just waiting now to find out if my insurance will cover or not.  Keeping my fingers and toes crossed that it happens for me.....

Total weight lost = 131

Down from a size 26 to a 8/10 and from a 3X to a Medium...  My life has truly changed.  I wish I were better about exercising, but I don't think that will ever change.  If I did exercise I probably would be at goal by now, but I don't so I am happy with were I am... I just want to make sure to continue to eat healthy and  maintain where I currently am....

Even though I am not at my goal weight, I am at a size that I never thought I would be at.  If I don't lost any more weight, I am happy with were I am at.  I am going to start looking into plastic surgery in about 6 months or so.  I will be so glad to get rid of the loose skin, and probably another size too... LOL..

Long Day!

I had my pre-admission testing Wednesday at Hurley. I met a lot of great people, both staff and patients. It sure was a long day, but I passed everything and surgery is a go. I did find out taht Ihave high cholesterol (248), which I had no clue of. He said I am a heart-attack watiting to happen. The dcotor I saw was amazing and great.

I was so beat when I got home. After all the testing (almost 5 hours), I went from the hospital over to the clinic to have my nutrition class. All I can say is WOW... so much to take in. I have a lot of studying to do, to make sure I know all this stuff. Thursday I went SHOPPING!!!!! Yeah! Of course I couldn't get everything because things like yogurt I need to get just before my surgery. But any foods that will "keep" I will got taken care of.

I did get some reading in while I was there though and learned more from that as well. It is all starting to seem real...

OH.. I forgot I have to have an IVC filter put in 10 days before my surgery. Which is a tiny little blood filter that goes into the inferior vena cave to catch and filter out any clots I may develop due to the surgery. This is permanent and will stay in my vein forever. It will also be another long day at the hospital (8 hours). That surprised me and is giving me a lot of anxiety over it. I was NOT expecting that at all. That will be done 10 days before my WLS on November 17. I hope that all goes well.
