I'm an average mom, and grandmother. Like many women, I allowed the pounds to creep up on me until I could no longer fit into any of my clothes. That was July, 2006. Now I am happily wearing size 8 jeans and tight sweaters, and I feel like a million bucks. I love supporting my friends who chose lap band or other weight loss surgery to get their weight under control, but I always encourage them to find healthy eating habits and to face the cause of obesity head on. I utilized a nutritional system introduced to me by a gentleman who had shed 70 pounds in 6 months. It's been a year and a half now, and I've never been healthier. I stay nutritionally focused, always watching water intake, protein intake, and avoiding processed foods like the plague! With my routine, overweight is simply a thing of the past. I would love to converse with any of you about what to do now, to make sure you keep lean muscle and stay healthy. I preach WATER, WATER, WATER! Anyone who knows me knows I am a huge advocate of ice water with lemon. I also encourage lean protein intake, and a high protein snack before bed to keep the metabolism going! Deep breathing, laughing, and physical activity are other favorite, alkalizing (and metabolism boosting) activities.
