15 Months out

Sep 30, 2012

I am so excited after going and weighing myself I found I had made it to 150 lbs! That is my surgeons goal (mine is 140 lbs) for me. I am going over to Victoria on October 4th to see Dr. Tang. Funny, when I went to weigh myself I was so worried I had gained. Maybe because I am getting smaller, my excess skin is making me feel big, like I have gained weight. I am feeling very good about myself and am enjoying watching other ppl going through their journey! All I can say is never forget you need the support of peers and go to your local weight loss support group!!

14 months out

Aug 04, 2012

Well I am fourteen months out and am down to 154 lbs weight loss is sooo slow but still coming off. I fight with eating out of boredom at night, I don't eat over a small portion size but still crave salt and vinegar chips and gummy candies. I still limit my carbs because I will get a sleepy/dump time which lasts about 20 min., so I if possible I don't eat any noodles, pasta, bread at all. I eat a little bit of rice once in a while, maybe about 3/4 times a month. I still feel great, but now suffer from alot of saggy skin which requires me to origami my old deflated size D chest into a size C  lol not fun. I saw a plastic surgeon, but its too expensive to do surgery, so I need to wait. :(

9 months out

Feb 25, 2012

I am now 9 months out and am down to 158 lbs!! The weight has been comming off slowly but still coming off. I think if I really worked out harder and was stricter in everything I was eating, things would be going quicker. But I am really so excited that I have passed the 100lbs lost mark!! I feel wonderful and am into a medium jacket at Costco and the size 9 jeans at Reitmans are a bit big on me, but still look great!! I only have 7 more lbs to lose to meet my surgeons goal of 150 lbs, but I think I still want to be just into the 145 lb area by the time I am finished. Time for me to seek a surgeons advice on skin removal surgery, I really need it, I look great with clothes on, but have alot of skin to be removed. My goal is to be down to 156 lbs by next post!

8 Months post op

Jan 16, 2012

Well life has been a whirlwind in December!! ALOT of stress, I did
pretty well and even lost weight around Christmas. It has been a bit
of a struggle this past month with planning food and drinking water (not always fun in the cold weather) I tend to have more tea, and eat on
the fly.  I have been eating fairly well most of the time, just need to have more protein instead of choosing carbs. I have been making
protein smoothies lately and it is helping.I have not gone to the gym
for the last month which shows in my slow weight loss, but at least
I'm still losing. I have 11 lbs to go to meet my surgeons goal of
150 lbs, and 21 more to meet my personal goal of 140 lbs. Things
are settling down now and I am trying to get myself on a better track!!

One week away from 7 months

Dec 10, 2011

One week away from my 7 mth anniversary and I have only lost 5 lbs since my last post!! GRRR! I will keep telling myself this is great, and I am near my goal so things are bound to go slowly, at least this is not a stall or plateau BUT this is still frustrating!!! I am feeling great, starting to get comments about how I should stop losing now.... I'm getting too skinny.... etc. Gees, I have just made it into the overweight mark for my BMI , fcol.  I hope everyone is still doing well as we go into our Christmas celebration time.

6 1/2 months out

Nov 24, 2011

Well, I am still feeling great, I'm not experiencing a stall, but I am loosing weight sloooowly. I am down to 172 lbs and in a size 12 pants, but I can take them off without un-doing the button, so I am moving out of them. Trying to keep up with taking vitamins, but I forget alot! I am trying to not focus on the weight loss, I am just uping my workouts and watching closer what I eat.

5 and a half months out

Nov 04, 2011

5 and a half months out and still going strong, I am having trouble getting out to exercise in the past week with Halloween and everything. I'm doing well food choice wise, but weight loss has slowed a bit. I'm still losing each week, but it seems to be only abot 2 lbs a week. I have only 26 more lbs to lose to make it to my surgeons goal of 150 lbs, but I want to be at about 140 lbs. I am moving out of large clothing and into medium, which is cool! I am still in a size 13 pants, but they are too big and when I actually go to buy more pants, I might be in a 11, and bypass size 12. Still feeling great except for trying to get over a cold. Skin is getting real saggy :(

5 Months out

Oct 17, 2011

5 Months out and still feeling great. I am down to 182 lbs! So far that is a loss of 78 lbs! My size large clothes are starting to be loose, and I am in a size 13 pants from Reitmans. I still don't think I feel as small as I am, but I can see the change with the clothing. Going to have to get the wedding ring resized because it's almost falling off.

Four and a half months out now and feeling fantastic!!

Oct 02, 2011

I can't believe it has only been four and half months, it seems like longer. It really is surreal how fast the weight can come off! I am as of last week, 188 lbs!!!! (72 lbs lost) I have gone from a size 3X to a large in regular sizes!! I bought a size 16 pants a few weeks ago, but I probably can fit a size 14 now!! I am really starting to feel thin! The only bad thing is the saggy skin, which you can't see when I have clothes on.I am still glad I did the surgery and very thankful for my life back and the incredible amount of energy I have!! Hope you all are doing well in your journey

Three months out and feeling good!

Aug 17, 2011

Well I am at 3 months post op now and am 4 lbs away from having lost 60 lbs!!! This is crazy, I am out of all my clothes now, and need to really think about buying some more that fit. I live in t-shirts and work out shorts, thank goodness its the summer! In three days I will be going to my friends parents 50th wedding anniversary and seeing people that I haven't seen since my wedding 16 years ago!!! Should be interesting. I am starting to add light jogging to my workouts and so far I feel good. Still finding it hard sometimes to remember to eat, it's so easy to forget when you are not getting that hungry feeling and are keeping busy.
