And we're off...wait not so much

Feb 15, 2011

This week has been interesting, I was on my cycle, which I always gain 5 lbs during, and went to my 3 month follow-up, which was 2 weeks early, not sure why!  So, because of my stupid period they had me at 234, which is not right, but oh well.  Dr. Acosta still said I am doing great!  I weighed this morning, well kids, I am at 224lbs!  From my highest weight that is 50 lbs down!  45 down from surgery:)  I am thrilled, thrilled, thrilled!

I haven't been going to roller derby, I am sad, but my muscles aren't recovering, I have done EVERYTHING, more protein, bananas, bengay, hot baths, stretching, and anything else I have heard to do, but i could hardly walk for nearly 5 days.  I have decided I need to do this like I do anything else, ease into it.  I am going to get some outdoor wheels for my skates and start skating outside, also will be doing exercises to build my leg muscles.  At practice I was super irritated, there were girls who were much bigger than I am, that were able to do everything just fine, I was having problems just getting from the floor to my feet!  Someone told me it is harder when you are tall, I am not gigantic, 5'7.5" but compared to the girls here I am monstrous!  Guess it's back to the gym for me;)  All in all, I am dissapointed...blah.

Last week we also had the flu, well I did, then the kids got it.  Not the stomach flu thank God, but the chills, fever, sleeping for 20 hours straight kind of flu.  I don't even want to imagine how the stomach flu would effect us RNY'ers.  Thank you all for the constant support, you all amaze me!
