I was approved for WLS last year in Feb. But had to wait for some reason I cannot remember..lol.. Now time is ticking and it will be within 3 months. I have to quit smoking for 3 months before they do it and I have had a hard time quitting..

I am take an Rx called chantix and so far i am smoking a lot less and I have set my quit date for the 9th (my birthday). I don't really crave them anymore, it is mostly the habit of the actual act.

After I was approved I tried to tell myself I could diet on my own, so I tried and gained weight instead of losing..pissed me off..LOL!!  I was to scared to have the surgery.

I am glad I have had to wait because it let me go through all this and now I am 100% sure this is what I need and want! But then once I accepted it, I started eating everything, and my liver is telling me that was stupid!!

Plus I gained more weight and now it is causing me more joint pain. I was steady at 267 for years, then went up to 276 now I am 286.. The most i have ever been was 293 and then I went on WW and went down to 236...

So I think I might join WW again for the next 3 months until my surgery and get some of this back off and get my liver feeling better. Even 20 pounds back off would be better than the way I feel right now.

PS: I am having RNY at group health in wa state

Thats about it...
