My name is Shawna and I am 32 years old,I just graduated from Baker college with an Associates drgree in applied sciences in the MA program and will go back to school this fall to become an RN. I have 3 beautiful children, 2 boys and a girl. My youngest will be 2 in Dec. I found out I have Factor Five Leiden after I had an Emergency C-Section with my daughter in 2006. I have been over weight most of my life but not like I am now. I got 2 blood clots after having my daughter and I am on Coumadin for the rest of my life, I still have a clot in my groin that will not go away and I have a hard time exercising and cannot eat lettuce or most any greens(diet food). I could not walk for aboout 3-4 months and I gained a lot of weight and now I cannot get it off or take diet pills or exercise. I have a lot of other problems also, high BP, factor 5, ect I need help. I want to have the lap band done. I talked to my Dr on the the 7th of august 2008 and she is starting my referral. I have priority health medicaid and believe this might be a long process? Does anyone have any info for me....plz help!!
Let me add some lines....I have been thinking about surgery for about 4 years now, i gave up thinking about it because i went to curves and lost a bunch of weight and looked great, well it came back plus some, A LOT of weight came along with it and now that i have all these other problems i feel LOST and this might be the only thing that can help me besides the Good Lord above and some support from everyone on here :)
