Hi all and Welcome to my spot on OH,

I'm sure my story is very similar to most people who have struggled with their weight for most of there lives.
I have been over weight ? Hmmmmmmmm I think since birth LOL, I have come to a place in my life where I want to start living life as a smaller healthier person.

WLS was not a quick decision for me. I have been researching information and Docs for the past two years. After meeting Dr. Keith Boone in Fresno and attending his WLS seminar I finally felt at peace, and made the decision to proceed with WLS.

I must admit that my insurance approval went fairly smooth. From the time I decided to move forward, it has only been 5 months from when I started the process until the date of my surgery. Only a couple small hitches, but for the most part every thing somehow lined up and went smooth. I have learned a lot from my journey thus far, and can not wait to begin my new life.

I would like to leave you with this little profound statement I received from my Nutrition Counselor. These few words were a blessing. Thank you Sheryl!

As a large person in transformation, don't lose the large person inside of you. Where you have come from, where you are right now and where you are going tomorrow, has blessed you with unique insight, an understanding, a care, a concern, a compassion that is sorely lacking in the world today.
