Where do I begin?

I have been a member here since July 06, never posted any thing because when I started this process, I called my insurance company to see if they cover bariatric surgery..............they cover nothing!! So I gave up and never proceeded............WELL not anymore, today and from this day forward I am going to keep pushing and pushing till I have scored that TOUCHDOWN!!. I know I will need alot of help to get me through this. I just don't understand why the company my husband works for insurance will not cover this, obesity is a diease.........
I have been overweight since the birth of my first child, only have two and my first grandchild is 7 months old. My BMI is no longer 40.4 it has gone down, I am at 35.1, but then it goes up, then down again, that cycle of gaining and losing.
I am scheduled to go to the cities (Nov. 6th) and go to the informational meeting, and continue from there. My husbands insurance is switching over to Medica, and from what I am told, it still will not cover WLS ........NOT IF I CAN HELP IT!! NOT GIVING UP. Going to "FIGHT TO WIN"
My fear is that they are going to look at me a laugh......and tell me that I am not a candidate for this, my BMI is not high enought, etc......I pray that this will happen for me............
