I had my 1st anniversary on the 24th of Feb. Whew hoo I'm in the twoerland now. I'm feeling great, looking better and have an excellant family support system surrounding me!

visited my surgeon yesterday and was estactic at my weight I weight 341 lbs. My surgeon was pleased at te weight loss and eating habits blood work was fine and all is well!

Went today for my appointment and got on the scale the first time since surgery on 2/24/11.  Today is 11 days since surgery, wow none of it was as near as i imagined it would be. things were so less painful than I had imagined. The worst part was missing my own bed and wanting some sleep. God knows there is not much rest in the hospital. The liquid diet ended today and tonight my husband made me my first puree meal scrambled egg w/cheese and a little cottage cheese 4oz total. Well since surgery I have had 0 problems with vomiting, etc. I follow the recommendations pretty much verbatim . Take the vitamins and drink drink drink. So today makes a 15 lb weight loss in 11 days!!

still on optifast surgery 4 days away......a little nervous but mostly excited! So many plans for my new life after WLS.

started optifast....I have to say I'm surprised how good it is.  it's easy to drink the nutrition bars are good too.  saw Dr. Halmi yesterday to go over the within 30 day reqwuirements.  you have to keep your eye on the prize your surgery date and keep moving forward stay on top of everything.  i have a magnificent husband who made copies of everything and when the nurse asked for copies like a true boy scout he was prepared. he helps me so much!  Were all done jumping through the hoops next  trip to the hospital for my surgery!

I've been working on making my decision for almost four years now and finally I'm within two weeks of my WLS date of 2/24/11.  I explored my options thought about it ,discussed my options and made the decision.  Managed to succeed in meeting all the criteria of my insurance company and received my approval to proceed in December.  Scheduled my surgery after the New Year and completed the last of my within 30 day requirements today.....woo hoo! I'm anxious to get it going.  Started Optifast today, it's not so bad it tasted quite different then I expected.
