Hello Everyone I am very new to this....I just received notice on 9/3/2010 that I was approved for the Gastric Bypass and only after my second attempt. Well I am scheduled for 9/16/2010 the day my life will change forever. I am so excited that I have all kinds of emotions running through me as we speak. I know that the Lord has made this way.I have struggled with my weight every since I graduated from high school in 1995. (did I just tell my age)! Then over the past 6 years i have had many things happen in my life. Dealing with all those things and adding depression on top of it ....they wait crept right up on me!....Tell one day I just couldn't deny it anymore. I was just ridiculous overweight. It came to an point where I would park the car to the closet parking space and find the shortest and easiet way to do anything that didn't involve me using to much energy.
It's painful wanting to take the children to the amusement park but you can't because you have to ride with the 4 yr old and you cant fit into the rollercoasters or the bars won't click...I remember saying to myself that would never be me and it is me. Its hard wanting to play and attend school trips with the children but you don't want to embarass your kids or take the risk of the other children laughing at you.
I have been on this journey since 10/2007 and have gained over 100 pds since my first seminar. I then buckled down and got serious in 2009 and did all the requirements I needed to finish the requirements for my insurance company. I submitted my first letter in Feb 2010 and was denied due to a letter from my PCP missing and the 90 days for the appeal came and went. So I resubmitted on 8/24/2010 and came home from vacation on 9/7/2010 to wonderful news.....HES A ON TIME GOD OOH YES HE IS!....
I started my full liquid diet today....it isn't that bad at all. 6 more days to go..I will try and sleep and rest but I'm so excited and will use this tool so wisely and never see that 451 pd marker again.....
