On 2/20/15 I went to my initial consult with Dr David Kim in Colleyville. He was very nice and informative. I was informed of the prices and also that my insurance has a bariatric exclusion. I was then scheduled for my sleep study which I had on  2/22/15. They scheduled my cardiac clearance for late March, 2015. I have not scheduled the EGD yet. First, out of fear but Im glad I waited. I was about to call today to schedule and pay my $500 non- refundable deposit which is required to be able to schedule. I decided to go on line and google other bariatric surgeon's in the area and compare the pricing given to me from Dr Kims office. I did find one office that cash price is $5000 less and if I need a hernia repair, the whole surgery was quoted still less than at Dr Kim's office. So, I googled reviews for this Dr and everything has been positive. I scheduled an initial consult for 2 weeks out and if all goes well, I may be choosing the new surgeon.
