Hello my name is Daphne and I am a 39 year old wife and mother. I found out about this web site today and was so excited! I would like to thank "Aunt Dee Dee" for the info. I have struggled with my weight most of my adult life mainly after giving birth to my daughter who is now alomost 16yo (so much for baby fat). I finally made the decision to have gastric bypass in July of 2007. Southern Surgical was my saving grace. I chose Dr. MacDonald because of his extensive background and experience in gastric bypass. I have not regreted one minute of it. After many tests and consults I had a date of October 18 2007!!!!
I have had very little nausea and vomitting and when I did have it I knew right away what the cause was. My recovery was quick and I returned to work easily. My pre-op weight was 271 and today I went for my three month follow up and I am down to 216. I feel better than I have in a long time.
I want to send a thank you out to Aunt Dee Dee for introducing me to this site and for the lunch invite where I met a new friend and caught up with a friend I met in July.
Lets continue this journey together!!!!
