JUST AN UPDATE ON MY PROGRESS,
IT'S BEEN AWHILE SINCE I POSTED ANYTHING BUT I TRY TO READ AS MANY POSTS AS I CAN
MARCH 11, 09 OHIP APPROVAL
APRIL 7TH, 09 MEDICAL CLEARANCE AND PHYCH ASSESSMENT
APRIL 12TH, 09 BLOOD WORK
MAY 1ST, 09 BREATHING TEST
MAY 11TH, 09 CONSULT WITH DR. MARSHALL THEN I WILL FINALLY GET MY SURGERY DATE AND I'M HEARING ABOUT 3 TO 4 WEEKS AFTER THE CONSULT WITH THE SURGEON TILL SURGERY
WOOOHOO...FINALLY
MAY 29TH, WILL BE THE 1 YR MARK SINCE MY GRANDMOTHER PASSED AWAY DUE TO DIABETES RELATED ISSUES

What a screwed up day or I should say afternoon.
To start off I have a real hard time sending my young son to school because he didn't fall asleep till past 1 am last night (he has adhd, odd etc) So after dropping him off at school this morning I came back home and had to go back to bed, I was so tired already. Slept till 1:45 wow. At 2pm I get a phone call from his school. My thoughts what now. He does attend a special school for behaviors. So they tell me I need to pick him up because he is to unsafe to get on the bus. What am I going to do now were my thoughts. I had an appointment with the dietician that my endocrinologist wanted me to see at 3pm. So I left to go pick him up and brought him with me.

Before I left I noticed that my dr (endo) tried to call so I called them back and the secretary said "remember when you called and told me ohip wanted more infomation and they were going to fax it to me. Well I have the fax and it's your approval. They just need me to fax them the blood work results"

OMG, I'M APPROVED,,,WOOOHHOOOOOOOO
I'M SO EXCITEDDDDD

So now I'm on my way to pick up my son at school and then went to see the dietician, which is in the same office as my endo dr. When I left I asked the secretary for a copy of my approval letter because I didn't get it yet.

So now I'm on my way home trying to call my teenagers from my cell phone to let them know not to go to the busstop to pick up my little guys.

Well now one of my twins (boys) told me that Kyle didn't come home that he got in a fight at school and the teachers took them to the office so he wasn't on the bus. He's still there actually as I'm writing this. He's going to take the after school activity bus at 5. I'm furious now he's suspended for 5 days. Just before march break.
So I can easily say I'm on an emotional rollercoaster this afternoon...all this happen since 2 pm. that's only 2 and half hours.


Move on over people on the loser's bench, here I come.

I got my ohip form filled out.
I asked Dr Treki  (endo)  if he could fill it out because I don't have a family Dr.
He started telling me that he wants me to see a dietician first and then asked me if I have a family history of diabetes and I started crying and pulled out the pictures of my dad and showed him the pics of his legs being amputated and told him I don't want my kids to watch me go through what I seen my father go through and told him I know that I might not go through that same route but I don't want to take that chance.
So then he asked me if I want anymore kids and told him no way i'm 37 and already have 3.
He also asked me about exercise and diet and I showed him the papers that I had from t.o.p.s.(take off pounds sensibly) and it shows my weigh ins for the last 2 years. I told him that I was able to lose 30 pds and keep off for about a year and it slowly crept back up.
He told me to leave the form with him and he'll fill it out and have his secretary fax it, but he still wants me to see a dietician and made an appointment...
So I'm so happy my form is filled out and faxed as of today.
Hope he fills it out right. I'm sure he knows what he's doing. He is a specialist.
Just had to post this because I'm so happy it's finally filled out.
Oh ya he gave me a prescription for metformin and told me to start taking it. It should help me for now until the surgery.

Well I just got back from seeing Dr. Treki.
He wants me to get a couple more tests done and see me again in a month, everything should be in by then.
He wants me to get a test for check for cortisol or something like that and another test that requires me to drink orange juice, I think that one has to do with diabetes...I don't know, it could be all one test. Anyways, next wednesday is the sleep test and then it's the waiting game.

Well here it is, today I go see Dr Treki.
I don't know why, but I'm really nervous.
I have everything I need and I don't even know if I need it to bring it at this point but I will anyways.
I had a list of questions to ask him but I never wrote them down and I think I forgot them all.
Next wednesday is my sleep test. yippy can't wait to sleep in a strange place.lol

I AM WRITING THIS BLOG TODAY BECAUSE I HAVE A FULL DAY SCHEDULED FOR ME TOMORROW. I'M SEEING A PERIODONTAL FOR CONSULT AT 9 THEN AT 11 I HAVE TO GO SEE MY DAD TO BRING HIS IPOD BACK TO HIM. THEN AT 1:30 I GO TO MY SON'S SCHOOL FOR PARENT INVOLVEMENT PROGRAM. AT 2:30 AT THE SCHOOL HE HAS A DR APPOINTMENT FOR MED REVIEW.
SO TOMORROW WILL BE REALLY BUSY FOR ME.
I HAVE ALL THE PAPERS I CAN THINK OF TO BRING WITH ME ON THURSDAY, HOPEFULLY IT'S ENOUGH.
I HAVE MY MEDICAL HISTORY MY CORMORBIDS AND HEALTH ISSUES
I HAVE MY IMMEDIATE FAMILY MEDICAL HISTORY
MY PREVIOUS DIET ATTEMPTS.

I'M GOING TO BE PUTTING A POST UP AFTER I FINISH WRITING THIS ASKING IF ANYONE KNOWS WHEN THE DATE IS TO NEED A PASSPORT TO GO OVER TO THE STATES, I BELIEVE IT'S IN JUNE 09...I'M HOPING I CAN GET MY SURGERY BEFORE THIS BUT IF I DON'T I THINK I NEED TO HAVE THE PROPER PAPER WORK TO GET A PASSPORT.
HOW SOON AFTER OHIP APPROVAL CAN I GET A SURGERY DATE? IT LOOKS LIKE IT DEPENDS ON IF THERE IS A CANCELATION OR YOU HAVE TO WAIT. ANYWAYS I'M A LITTLE WORRIED ABOUT THIS BECAUSE I JUST FOUND OUT THAT MY QUEBEC BIRTH CERTIFICATE IS NO LONGER VALID BECAUSE IT WAS ISSUED BEFORE 1994. THE QUEBEC GOVERNMENT MADE A CHANGE TO BE MORE MODERN, SOMETHING LIKE THAT. IT USED TO BE THE HOSPITALS AND CHURCHES THAT TOOK CARE OF THE B.C. SO NOW I HAVE TO GET A NEW B.C. BEFORE I CAN APPLY FOR A PASSPORT. I JUST HOPE THIS DOES NOT DELAY EVERYTHING.

I'M SO WORRIED ABOUT MY LIFE. EVERYDAY I GO UP AND DOWN STAIRS IN MY HOME OR AND AT MY WORK AND EVERY SINGLE TIME I GO DOWN STAIRS I FEEL LIKE MY KNEES WILL GIVE UP ON ME AND I WILL FALL DOWN AND REALLY HURT MYSELF.
TODAY I HAD A SCARE AND THAT'S WHY I'M PUTTING THIS IN MY BLOG.
I WOKE UP AND STARTED DOWN THE STAIRS AND THANK GOD I HAD MY HAND ON THE HANDRAIL ALREADY. MY KNEE  JUST GAVE UP AND I LOST MY BALANCE.
I CAUGHT MYSELF THOUGH AND NO INJURY EXCEPT THE ONE IN MY CHEST AS I WORRIED ABOUT TUMBLING DOWN MY STAIRS

       WOW. WHAT A STRUGGLE TODAY. MY BEAUTIFUL 9 YEAR OLD SON IS A HANDFUL. HE HAS ADHD AND ODD AND POSSIBLY PTSD. HE ALREADY GOES TO A SCHOOL FOR CHILDREN WITH BEHAVIOUR PROBLEMS. LATELY EVERYTIME THEY PUT HIM IN THE SAFE ROOM (WHEN HE STARTS ACTING OUT AND BEING UNSAFE) HE'S BEEN SHREDING HIS TSHIRTS UP INTO THREADS AND THEN USING THESE THREADS TO WRAP AROUND HIS NECK. ACTUALLY HE'S BEEN DOING THIS FOR SOMETIME AND THE WORKERS JUST KEPT AN EYE ON HIM MAKING SURE HE WAS SAFE (THEY DETERMINED THAT HE WAS DOING IT FOR ATTENTION AND NOT INTENTIONAL) FOR THE LAST 2 WEEKS HE'S BEEN MORE INTENTIONAL ABOUT IT. SO TODAY HAS BEEN THE 2ND TIME IN LESS THEN A WEEK THAT THE SCHOOL HAS CALLED THE AMBULANCE ON HIM AND THAT I'VE HAD TO MEET THEM AT THE HOSPITAL. BOTH TIMES I HAVE BROUGHT HIM BACK HOME. HE IS NEVER SUICIDAL AT HOME ONLY IN THIS SAFE ROOM AT THE SCHOOL. SO A WORKER FROM A CRISIS CENTER THAT I MET BEFORE THINKS THAT HE MIGHT BE HAVING FLASHBACKS OF WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM IN THE PAST AND THAT THIS SAFE ROOM ISN'T TO SAFE FOR HIM AND THAT THE SCHOOL WILL HAVE TO FIGURE OUT OTHER MEANS OF CALMING HIM DOWN WHEN HE GETS INTO THESE BEHAVIOURS PROBLEMS. HE IS ON A WAIT LIST TO START AN 8 TO 8 PROGRAM THAT HE MIGHT BE IN, IN THE NEXT 6 WEEKS OR SO. SO IN THE MEANTIME WE HAVE TO FIGURE OUT WHAT TO DO FOR HIM TO KEEP HIM SAFE. SO NOW I COME HOME STARVING AND HEARTBROKEN AND I EAT TO BIG PLATES OF SHEPERD PIE THAT MY MOM MADE (BECAUSE SHE LIVES WITH ME SHE DOES MOST OF THE COOKING)   SO THIS IS THE STRUGGLES I DEAL WITH ALMOST EVERYDAY...WELL NOT THE GOING TO THE HOSPITAL PART. THIS IS GETTING TO BE A LITTLE LONG I WILL RESUME ANOTHER DAY....I CAN'T WAIT TO MEET THE ENDO DR ON JAN 29 AND DO THE SLEEP STUDY WEEK AFTER THAT...HOPEFULLY ONCE ALL THE WORK IS DONE MY DR WILL FILL OUT THE FORM PROPERLY
