Oct 8th 2008~ Been awhile sencce I update this. Im 7 years post op now. My current weight is 124. I find that is is now easier to eat the foods that got  fat in the first place!! But I am very very active, I love being thin, so if it means not eating  cookies and peeps then oh well. I'm so please with my surgery. My whole life changed for best, My Husband would never say it, But i will say it for him, He loves me being thin. I about the same amount  as my 9 year old daughter. But for future reference Im going to add what I had eat for the last 24 hours. Breakfast~3/4 cup Cream of wheat and little bit of milk. Snack~4oz yogurt fit and light by dannon Lunch- 6 saltines crackers and 2 oz of cheese ,Dinner 1/2 cup pasta tossed in Tamato sause and 2 meatballs  bedtime snack~ Protien Shake. I try to eat 6 small meals a day, I take 2 multi Vitmins with iron, B-12 twice a day under my tounge, and my calsium. For record Last night I ate a 6inch Sub sandwhich from subway, I had Half and my daughter had the other half and I was good to go all day long. Thin Taste good and sure does look good on me :-)

May 4th 2007- This morning i weighed in at 122. For Breakfast , I had a fried egg sandwhich,just regural toast, and I ate the whole thing, but Im stuffed. Last night for dinner I had 3 oz of chicken and about 3/4cup of pasta and veggies. Im 6 1/2 years post op, I have mantaned my wieght, it goes up and down by 5 pounds, Todays weigh is on the upside. My Total weight loss is 168 pounds

Oct 28 2004- Last year at this time i was 122, This year being weight in at 130- So that is a 8 pound gain im working on losing. I have  to work to keep the weight off i seem to like to graze on all the wrong foods. Life is really good.Im still wearing S/M tops and size 3 levi's. Last Night this what i ate...

B- 2 oz cheese(sharp,Lunch was 1 oz cheese sharp and Dinner I had 2 oz meatloaf,1/2 green beans, 1/4 pasta

August 2004- Im almost 3 years post op. Doing pretty good holding my weight steady at about 120-124.

March 2003- still holding between 122-128. Im so happy what can i say.

January 12th- Yippy  i have lost 7 of the pounds i put on over the holidays.Today i weighed in at 125 so i got 3 more pounds and i shall be back at 122 again

January 4th 2004- Well i gained 10 pounds over the holidays , but today i got back on track. I should be able to drop it pretty fast - im going very high protien for the next days, to jump start my weight im not to worried. weight today was 132. 

Oct-2003- 122 pounds and doing great. I have to re-do this entry form so im keeping this brief.

May 2nd 2003- Yippy im back down to 124- where i want to stay. I dont know what i was thinking last month by saying i want to go down to 115- that will not happen. Im so thrilled to be where im at. Food check up- exaples of what i ate yesterday
B- Coffee
S- 1/2 protein bar and snack on the rest thru out the day.
L-1/4 cup mac-n-cheese
S- 3 pretzel rods
D- half of a 6inch subway sub and a few doritoes
S- the other half of the the sub

***************************************March 30th 2003- Well today i weighed in at 128 kinda ticked me off. I hoping it is becuase it is close to that time of the month. Well I also moved 1500 miles from colorado and i have not been eating the right foods. I know what i have to do.Im also close to being 19 months post op. I wont change anything , Im so happy with life except for this 4 pound gain. I hope i can post in a few days  that i lost those four pounds. But for now im in a healthy range for me i told myself i would never let myself weigh more than 130 ****************************************************************

Jan 29th 2003- Today i weigh 124.Im a few days from being 17 months post op. Just for future referrence for myself im going to post what i ate today.I also had my body fat done today 16.5% or 21 pounds of Fat. Not to shabby :-)
B-1 egg omlett,1/3 of a Pancake
L- 1/2 of a Ramen chicken soup
S- Crumb Cake
D- 3oz Chicken white meat, 1/2 cup mac n cheese, 1/2 cup of green beans
And if i need a snack later it will be popcorn.


Dec 29th 2002- Im Almost 16months post-op in a week i will be. I have had it rough these last few months with all the baking i do- but oh well, i will get back on track in the morning im not waiting till New Year to do that. I weighted myself tonight(yucky time to weigh in oh well)im still at 124 yippy!! I wear a size 3 Levi's and sometimes i think i could easily get into a size 2 but im too cheap to buy any more clothes. I had intentionally upped my calories to stop my weight loss at eight months when i got to my goal weight , But i feel i would like to get down to 115 pounds, I know im skinny now and i look great, but i have this nagging feeling that one day i will put on some of the weight i have lost( i hear most gain about 5-10 back in a few years) back on and i never want to weight more than 125. One thing that bothers me is that im always hungry, i eat like every 2 hours, so with that in mind im going to try to make heathier choices and drink more water and see if i cant get to my new goal weight by March 2003. All in All i cant complain , never thought i would like myself again- actully i love the new me:-)

July 27th 2002- im down to 126 , never thought i would see those numbers. 125 will be great but i dont want to go any lower than that. i have lost a total of 161 pounds in 10 months and 27 days. I hit goal weight weight back in May and im still losing about 6 pounds a month so i have up my calorie  in take to help slow it down. Im eating heathy  and i plan on doing that for the rest of my life. Thin taste so good.

 

July 10th 2002- Wow summer seems to be flying by so fast. Im 10 months post op now. Never in my wildest dreams did i think i would make it this far in my battle with weight loss. I weighted today at 130 pounds and that is the best feeling in the world.Talk about feeling heathy.Im feel like im on cloud 9 all the time except for when hubby dosnt take out the trash:-)

June 1st 2002- Well i have decided i will only udate this page the first of every month.As of today i weighted in at 136.I feel great.Still learning that i have to becarfull of how much fat i eat and watch out for hidden sugars.Other than that im in dream land- i cant believe this is the new me.


MAY 29th- I MADE IT TOO GOAL WEIGHT!!! 8 MONTHS AND 22 DAYS. I HAVE LOST A TOTAL OF 149 POUNDS. THIS MORNING I WEIGHTED IN AT 138. IM SO HAPPY- AND HERE I WAS THINKING THAT I WOULD BE THE ONLY ONE WHO THIS SURGERY DIDNT WORK FOR!!!! WOO-HOO . I CAN EAT JUST ABOUT ANYTHING BUT I DO EAT SMALLER PORTION SIZES. I DO LIMIT AND BAKERY STYLE FOODS.

May 14th- WOW- Im 8 1/2 months post-op I have lost 140 pounds.My new weight is 140 pounds, i got 2 more pounds till reach my goal.
April 30th- I just had to post this- I have lost 139 pounds putting me at 148 pounds- my new goal weight is 138. So i got another 10 pounds to go.
April 26th- I have lost 137 pounds. My Current weight is 150, Im so thrilled i never thought i woud get to this point.This was my original goal in the begining but i have now deided 140 would be a perfect weight. My current size in clothes 9 and it feels great.
April 11th 2002- Well as of today i have lost 134 pounds and my new weight is 156, This is my 7th month post -op. Im very happy with the way i feel and the way my new body is. I thank God that he made this all happen for me.
March 22 2002- Wow im 6 and 1/2 months post op, I have lost a total of 123 pounds.I weigh right now 164.I had my hernia repair- Doctor had to open up my whole incesion , he found 1 biggie and 3 small ones.He went ahead and removed my old scar so now i got a smaller/thinner one. It is no walk in the park.Im laid up as i was when i had WLS.Doctor said 6-8 weeks for the scar to heal and up to 6 months befor i can strain my mstomach mussles.All in all im happy:-)
Feb 25th- Well i have lost a total of 96#'s , i weighed in at 174 yesterday morning. I have slowed downed alot but i hope to get into the swing of losing faaster again.I really havnt been eating right latily - I need to clear the junk food out of the house- We had a party last weekend and i got a alot of chips and stuff in the house- So tomarrow i will ditch those in the trash.
Feb 6th- Tomarrow will be my 5 month post-op anniversary.I have lost 92 pounds as of this morning, im so happy.I worry that i eat to much, but if im still losing then i must be doing something right-i hope:-).I cant wait to get my hernia taking care of.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Jan 29th- Well last firday i weighed in at 182, 2 more pounds and i will have lost 100 pounds in 4 months 3weeks.I started birth control this week- I pray i dont gain any weight from them.Im in dire need of new clothes- but i refuse to buy any- I have been going thru my hubby's old sweats which are mediums and they fit great.

Jan 13th- Well i have lost 81 pounds , im 4 months and 1 week post op.My weight today was 189.I feel great but my hernia is bothering me not painfull but annoying fits into my cupped hand.Im so happy im still losing weight, for the longest time i thought i would be the only person who didnt lose with WLS.But all is well, im so happy!!!

Jan 3 2001- I have hit my first platue- Today i weighed in at 196 and in 4 days i will be 4 months post-op.I dont if it is a platue or if it is because of all the snacking i did durning the hoidays.I have lost 74 pounds thats on a happy note
January 8th-I was on a 3 week platue but it finally broke-Today i weighed in at 193 making that a 77 pound loss in 4 months

Dec-22 I have lost a total of 74
pounds putting me under 200 pounds..Weigh in at 196.im 3 1/2 months Post op.I want my goal weight to be 141 so i got 55 pounds more to lose.

Dec-12- Im 3 months post op now.I have lost between 68 & 70 pounds my weight verys.Right now i weigh 202 my staring weight was 287. I can eat just about anything i want to, which is fine with me.I try to eat a well balanced diet.Im eating mre protien but i havnt counted how much protien.I do know i get in about 500-700 calories aday.Im sure i have days when i get in less or more.I cant seem to get myself to eat in the mornings. But i have 2 meals aday and 2 snacks a day( or at least i try to.My hair has started to shed- not to bad yet. I really hope i can make it to my goal weight- Im scared i will fail at it.

Nov 19th- Im almost 9 weeks post op. I have lost 57 pounds. Im Feeling great. I have been able to eat many things- Kinda sccared about that- but as long as i dont over eat on the junk or make the junk my mainstay of food i should be fine.My weight loss ranges from 1-3 pounds a week now.I wish it was more but heck i'll take what i can get:-)I had McDoands for the first last week- I ate halve the fries and the meat off a cheese burger.I still havnt work at getting more exercise in - but at least i have it to fall back on when i hit my first platue.

Oct 16th- Wow Im in my 5th week and i have lost a total of 40 pounds. For some reason i thought i would have lost at least 50 but i must have been dreaming.Todaay for the first time i went for a long walk with the kids.Im starting to feel normal now.I havnt really havnt been good about watching what i eat. I have tried some new foods like Corn Dogs,Pringles,Wine,Yogurt,Cheese Nips. I realy hate the thought of eatiing meat.

Sept 28th- 3 weeks post op. Im feeling better everyday,I never thought i would say that.I was so depressed the first week home i thought i would die.I have lost 26 pounds in 21 days:-) and that makes me smile.I still have a little discomfort but the Doc said that being i had a gallbladder removed to it is to be exspected.Im a little tired and im thinking of gettiing some blood work done to make sure everything is ok.In 3 days in gonna start walking a little bit around my neighborhood,im gonna take it easy.Also i wanna note the foods i have tired in the last 21 days, Soups - Jello, pudding, Cool-Whip, Taco Bell soft taco, Chicken, Stove top Chicken meals,KFC Potatoes, Mac-n-Cheese,Ice Tea plain,Cottaage Cheese,Hard Cheese,Peanut butter,Bread, Fudge Pops.Banquet Chicken patties.---Im also gonna start keeping track of my protien something i havnt been doing.

Sept 13th- WEll i went in the 7th at 7:30 and i cried the whole time.My Husband held my hand the whole time and has been great.When i woke up ,I just couldnt believe the pain, it was something i cant explain.Im 6 days postop and i take my pain medicine and i feel pretty good.

Sept 4th- Tomarrow i go in and have all my pre-op blood work ect.Im so nervous.

August 29th- My Doctor called to Day and told me he had to move my Date to the 7th of september,i know it is only 2 days but im sad but still thrilled im having surgery.I stopped smoking on the 26th of the month, i have been smoke free for 3 days.Tomarrow i go in to have my blood work done.

August 9th- Today i went in for my 2nd consultation and I have a date for surgery on the 5th of September.I go in on the 30th of August to get all my blood work done.I'm so happy i could almost burst from from Joy! plus my friend Cheryl is 3 days post-op and she is doing GREAt, she dont even look like she under went major surgery, Her inciesion gives me hope that mine will look as good!!! I cant say enough about about Dr Harkabus and im gonna leave it at that or i will have a huge Journal on my hands!!!!
