I'm home...
Jul 11, 2009
But you probably already knew that! I had surgery on the 7th and was home by the end of the 9th. Pretty quick turn around if I do say so! I felt pretty out of it on thursday (the 9th) and I remember them wheeling me out, thinking, oh lord, why are they sending me home, i'm not ready people! Well they yanked out the drains (p.s. not a cool feeling), and off I was.The care I recieved at Sisters was excellent. Th e nurses and especially the PCA's were exceptional! I loved all of them!
When I got home I immediately sent the DH out to get me some hydrocodone! I must say it did help in the beginning but then it just made me goofy. I switched to adult liquid tylenol - and I have done fine with it. It gave me just enough relief from this dang incision...which is my only pain.
Eating has been hard. I am afraid to sometimes. I just don't want to dump. Not a bad thing to be scared of I guess.
Well I'm off...i'm going out tomorrow and I'm going to try some decaf coffee - here's to hoping it stays where it should.
