David Provost

"Dr. Provost was nice when we first met. One thing I didn't like was I only saw him once and that was over 6-7 months ago. I'm going to have surgery in a few days and I have yet to see and talk to him since then. I guess that's how they run things. His office has several other doctors working in it as well so you build a relationship more with a regular general doctor and the nurses and assistants more than Dr. Provost himself. They are all nice in the office everything is \"fat friendly\". All the dietians and nutritionist are very thin! Most of them wear 6 inch heels...and it feels weird that they talk to you about eating healthy when your fat and they aren't. But they are nice and don't judge at all. He does require all patients to see a nutritionist at the beginning and if your insurance requires you to do any weight management then you will have to do that but they make it real easy. If you gain some weight during your pre-op stuff they don't get mad. They do make sure all paperwork is in order and they do keep in touch with you. The only thing I have to say is be sure to know your insurance...call them and see in advance if you will need any copays or anything like that upfront. Because I came into a snag where they assumed I knew and never mentioned anything about a copay during my whole 6 months doing all the pre-op stuff and now just a few days ago they call me up telling me I need to pay over a 1,000 bucks. Needless to say I did get it paid and worked out but, heed my warning though. That's all I really have to say about Provost and his staff for right now..I'll post more after my surgery and when I get home."
