Ok well my story started some time ago. I have always had a weight problem. Ever since I was 13, I have alway been the heaviest girl in my class. Now I was very active and played sports. I was in gymnastics, ran track, and played volleyball. All through high school, my weight would bounce back and forth. When I was in my sports I always weight between 140 and 160 and as soon the sports was over I ballooned to 200. This was a constant battle for me. When I graduated high school I was weighting over 210 pounds. That is when my battle over diets started, over the next 15 years I used ever diet out there known to man to help with my weight. After the birth of my daughter I tumbled over the 230 mark. I was depressed and sickened to see that my body was not what I ever wanted to see. I hated looking in mirrors or walking by full length mirrors. Since then my highest weight that I was ever at was 320 pounds. I then started having to take antidepressants, bi polar meds, developed obstructive sleep apnea, was getting massive migraines, took high blood pressure meds for a while until I was able to get my stress under control. I just thought my life was over. I seprated from a 13 year relationship 3 years ago and I have maintained between 254 to 265. I has been in the last 3 years that I have really wanted and searched online about the gastric bypass surgery. I knew I wanted this surgery but didnt think that would ever be a possibility until my current job came. My insurance through my job I found out paid for that surgery. I was excited. Now I needed to find a doctor and see what the next steps would be. Found Dr. Zografakis through my sister who works for Akron City Hospital. I went to one of the bariatric surgery seminars and was ready right then. Made my appointment and from there I am now paying for my portion of the surgery. Dont have a surgery date yet but I see it within the next couple of months. I can not wait to be free and healthy from this old lifestyle that I have been living. I want to be a healthy loving person to be around for a long time to come.
