Well I have some good news guys, I got back from the doctor today and I am down to 352 pounds which means since postop I have lost 38 pounds.  I had a rough couple of weeks to his last two weeks. I thought for sure right of gained weight, but I guess I was wrong which is a good thing. I went to national train day on Saturday, May 10, 2014. And the funny thing is I walked over 3 miles looking at all the exhibits and walking home after words from the train. That's all for right now. I'll be back soon.

Well here it is Friday, my stepdaughter's birthday. I am now one month in one day out of surgery, and we celebrated Cathy's birthday at red Robin restaurant. And I'm proud of myself, I had the fish and chips I had one of the pieces of cod and just a few what they call steak fries. Brought the rest home and had half of what I brought home for dinner and I have the other half of it tomorrow for lunch or maybe dinner I'm not sure. After we came back I walked about a mile and a half them proud of myself for that. I can't wait till my next of the doctors appointment, at least don't put me on a regular diet I hope. Where I can have my salads, maybe some red meat and so forth.I think I'm that have some coffee(decaf of course) and call it a night and go to bed. Talk to you later.

Well I am five weeks out and I'm still feeling pretty good. I do have one question, what is head hunger? I know I've kind of been overdoing it a little bit, and I need to cut back on what I eat. I'm not eating anywhere near what I used to. But I am feeling a little hunger and according to what I've read its head hunger not actual hunger. So I am confused. I have noticed that when I'm out I don't want eat. So I know that I don't hungry, but when I'm home I want to nosh. Is this normal, is this boredom, or what? But like I say otherwise I'm feeling great and walking about a mile and a half to 2 miles a day. Which isn't bad considering this time last year I couldn't even walk a block (or eights of a mile). And to me that's an accomplishment.


I have a feeling to them that have a real test, my daughter needs to go to Chili's restaurant, and that's were the test comes in for me. I usually get the express lunch which consists of tortilla chips and salsa, I usually have two or three bowls of soup or Chile, and may be to salads. And now that I can't eat as much as can be the challenge. Not that's all I can say for right now. Talk to you later.

I am 27 days out from surgery, and yesterday I walked 2 miles which is one of my goals. I still need to continue this, in other words I need to do this all in one shot instead of walking so far in taking a seat. Right now it is kind of hard because I am so out of shape. But at the same time I'm still walking that distance. I am so glad there's a park right by the house. One of the places I set in the park is a lagoon, there I watch the birds, the ducks, the geese and other wildlife that are around like the squirrels. I love watching nature, and I love watching people too. I'll get there one of these days(the 2 miles continuous) but I have to take it a little at a time. I got my guess am only 27 days out from my surgery and I can't push it that much just yet. I do have one question know if anyone is reading this blog? How do you keep from eating when you're bored? I have caught myself over eating and getting sick. That's the one thing I need help them, any suggestions?

My weight loss and other things

I went to see my endocrinologist today, and I weighed in at 359 which is still lots. Yeah I have a little bit to go(LOL), if losing at least 200 pounds is a little way to go ha ha. I'm feeling pretty good though. Means I've lost 31 pounds so far. I have energy to burn, I wish the weather would get warmer again so I can go for more walks.The weather will get there sooner or later, and what I'm thinking of doing is going to the mall and walking around there. If anyone is going to read this please give me a comment of what else I can go for walking that might be in doors?

My immediate goal

My immediate goal is to walk 2 miles every other day. Today I want 1.5 miles around the park by my house.I would try and do this every other day, seeing that I just out of surgery 19 days ago. I'm a little tired, but that's to be expected. My legs hurt their cramping up. But that's to be expected because I don't really stretch before I go out walking. I will get to the two-mile mark soon I hope. I'm going to stick with one a half miles for a little while until I can get used to it.
