<p>(1/31/04)Much more impressed with Dr. Alverdy's staff ... which has made a major adjustment since my battles with the insurance company and the hospital ... Have the dietician/anesthesiologist/doctor scheduled for 3/10/04 in prep for the 3/29/04 surgery. My surgery was scheduled on 1/30/04 for 3/29/04; only reason for the length of time is that Dr Alverdy is not doing any surgeries in February 2004. I'm anxious to see him again on 3/10/04.
<p>(9/02) I was impressed with Dr. Alverdy's (almost brutal) honesty ... i.e., how people at my age and weight have a 40-50% failure rate with the RNY ... he has lately begun using the duodenal switch ... He was very helpful in explaining the difference between the two surgeries ... Although the surgery wait is 4-5 months (if everything goes well), I am sure it is worth it to have Dr. Alverdy in my OR ..."

<p>Honestly, Dr Z is a flirt and very down-to-earth. I have received excellent care (from Dr Z and Tas, his nurse) on my 3 follow-up visits. They are both always available for questions. Between them, I always feel very cared about after a visit ... Thanks, Dr Z and Tas!!!!"
"I trust almost everyone at UofC Hospital. I have had only one bad experience there, but the doctor in question was later replaced. I do know that "a student" in the ER saved my husband's life in August 1998 ... I will be forever grateful to him for diagnosing my husband's condition and ensuring he received immediate treatment!!"
