I am a nurse also. I am very happy with my decision to have the open proximal RNY surgery in Virginia. I moved to Florida shortly after I had my WLS. I am six months post op now and had my 1st Thanksgiving with my brother and his family. It was so nice to hear that my brother said I looked like I lost alot of weight. I feel so much better now, no more gastric reflux and my clothes are all falling off of me. I have almost gone thru my back up clothes of smaller sizes lol. I will have to go to a normal store and buy some more smaller size clothes. Let me know if you have any questions or just want to vent to me, for I understand how you feel.
