March 14, 2007 - Information sent to insurance. I was told it would take 4-6 weeks to hear from my insurance (BCBS Michigan - PPO).
April 26, 2007 - Called Dr. Foote's office to find out if they received an answer from BCBS yet since it's been 6 weeks. Still nothing!
July 6, 2007 - Surgery at 9:00 am. The first couple of days I thought to my self, boy, I just made a big mistake! Not a lot of pain, but just couldn't get much down and had a real tight feeling in my tummy! At the hospital, they only gave me Carnation instant breakfast drinks and water. The first couple of days I could only get down about 3 oz in for the day! I didn't feel hungry! The last thing I wanted to see was food! Just the thought of food made me gag!
July 8, 2007 - Came home from hospital. Slept the rest of the day in my own bed! It was wonderful!
July 9, 10, 11, 2007 - Just basically rested and tried to get as much in as possible. Day by day the swelling in my stomach went down, so then I was able to get more liquids in! Makes sense!
July 12, 13, 2007 - Feeling really good! Haven't had a pain pill sense the AM on the 12th! Tried some yogart, tasted wonderful and it didn't make me feel sick! I believe I'm on the mend! Food is starting to look and smell good! Could be a bad thing?!
July 14, 2007 - 7 days since surgery. - Feel wonderful, almost back to 100%. Still get a little tired in the afternoon.
