OK so here is my story. My name is Natalie and I have been battling my weight all of my life. I started developing at the age of 10 with the biggest boobs and curves like a coke bottle in 5th grade. At the time I wasn't overweight but since I was the largest in class I starting thinking I was fat. That stayed with me through high school. I played basketball, tennis and softball and was always the largest girl. In high school I wore a size 12 but still thought I was fat. Went to college and started my weight-loss journey. I did pretty good in college and didn't gain alot of weight nor did I lose any. After college I started the workforce and my employer had be on different shifts all the time. Therefore I didn't have go time to eat. I was tired all the time so I ate out all the time. In know time I was over 200 lbs. I started working out before going to work but then tore my hip cartilage and had to have hip surgery. So for 9 months I wasn't able to walk.

Fast forward to 2005... I moved to Atlanta for my job with no friends our family. At that time I was weighing 218 lb. So I joined Quick weight-loss center. Man did I waste my money. I lost 8 lbs in 3 months.

In April 2006 I decided that I to get a personal trainer (still have him to this day). We started working out hard but saw that I was gaining weight. At first we thought it was muscle until I gained 20 lbs in one month I went to the doc to see if anything was wrong with me. They tested my thyroid and found it normal so they sent me to a specialist. In June 2006 I was diagnosed with PCOS (Poly Cystic Ovary Syndrome). That was a hard blow but explained why I wasn't losing any weight. I started an low cal diet and taking my med. I lost 20 lbs in three months but couldn't lose anymore. I continue to workout with my trainer and my doc told me that my symptoms was going back worst. So she decided that I should try the band. She stated she hadn't a patient that tried as hard as I have with no success.

So my journey to WLS start in March 2009. It did take long to get approved because I had documented 1 yr of weight-loss with my PC Doctor.

June 19,2009 I begin my new life. I hope that it works for me. My doc thinks that it can reverse PCOS and that is what  I am hoping for.
