Loose Skin Options

Hi,

 

I had my RNY surgery on May 8th, 2014.  I'm two months out and feel great.  Loose skin particularly on my arms will be an issue.  My insurance will not likely cover the arm reduction surgery.  Plus it is too soon.  I've lost 40 lbs.  Honestly, sometimes I forget I had the surgery.  I only know when I've eaten to fast or too much.  I've not really had reactions to any foods.  It was the best thing I've done for myself.  The team at Newton Wellesley were recommended to me by my wife who had the surgery 14 years ago and had a revision.  The team is wonderfully caring, responsive, and like a well oiled machine.  I really wasn't nervous until the day of surgery.  I was up and walking the day of surgery and felt great.  I would recommend to anyone.  My choice was not the sleeve or lap band.  Simply because I've had many friends who have had the surgery and regained the weight.  Not to say you can't regain the weight with RNY, but there are advantages.
