Long Past Couple of Weeks

May 11, 2011

Gall bladder issues.. blah blah blah! Before surgery we found out I had gall stones due to an ultra sound I was required to have. Why oh why my gall bladder was not removed is a question I'd still like to know. I'm not seeing Dr. Shina anymore for follow up care, I see my PCP. Anyhow. Dairy has always bothered me since surgery. I attributed that to surgery. The past couple of weeks I've had bad stomach pains. One night, Easter night to be exact, my husband to me out to eat at Texas Road House. I was eating the egg and cheese off of their salad, about three bites in, I had the most aweful stomach pain I've ever had. The most aweful. Trip to ER, ultra sound the next day, in with the surgeon by that Friday. Surgery scheduled for the following Wednesday. The Friday before the Wednesday came more aweful pain.. this time pain didn't stop, all night.. tried to go to work.. went to ER from work.... Friday I was admitted, Saturday Gall Bladder OUT, home on Sunday. All in All.. THANK the LORD that experience is behind me.. and if you have gall stones, insist your gall bladder be removed during surgery. Trust me, you don't want gall stone pain. It was aweful.
