I had my surgery on 2/11/08 and today I had my one week checkup.  I've lost 16 lbs in this first week, but that's not what this week has been about.  Don't get me wrong, 16 lbs is great!!!  but I'm more preoccupied right now with getting in my protein and calcium.  I'm doing it but it takes a lot of time to make sure I'm doing everything right.
Surgery wasn't bad.  I didn't have much pain, had wonderful doctors, and great nurses.  My mom was by my side the entire time and she was a God send.  I only spent one night in the hospital which was great.  Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I already know it was definitely worth it!!
