9 MONTHS

Jul 25, 2009

GOD  is so good. He brought me throught the WLS storm. I have lost 104lbs.  I thank God for this blessing.  I feel like a million bucks.  I joined a new gym and I'm excited about the excercise committment that I'm about to embark on.  Excercise is a key element to Gastric Bypass.  You almost regulate your sucess by how sedentary you may be in your WLS journey.  I'm not saying you won't lose wweight if you do not excercise w/ gastric bypass. I'm saying you will lose at lower rate.  iT IS IMPORTANT TO CHANGE YOUR LIFESTYLE WHEN YOU HAVE SURGERY FOR WL.  Remain focused and informed about WLS. I'm signing off

Change Has Come

Feb 20, 2009

I finally can see change in my appearence.  I absolutely love the  new me. I can honestly say when I was 315lbs, I was a WLS sceptic.  As of 02/18/2009, I weight 239lbs.  I can't believe I'm so close to losing 100lbs.   I have always enjoyed shopping, but it doesn't compare to shopping now.  I can't wait until the summer time.  I will be buying everything.   Well, I thank GOD for allowing me another day because without WLS, I thought I would never see another year.  You health is one of the most important things people have to care for in their lifetime, so its important to do what is necessary to care for it.
Until the next time, I will talk to my WL family very soon.

TO ALL WLS HATERS

Jan 11, 2009

I'm 3 months Post OP and Fabulous.  I thank God for my surgery.  I went to the doctors a day before my surgery.  I lost 60lbs.  I'm so excited.  I couldn't even loss 10lbs before surgery.  I watch a lot of show which almost criticize the surgery. I would like to say to those who are curious and have never taken time to study the possitive effects of WLS, study before you critcize the people who have the surgery.  You can't just have the surgery without changing your lifestyle tremendously.  Realisticly, you have to research, excercise, eat right, take vitamins, get sleep,  deal with the problem which resulted in the weight gain, and change your mindset.  Once you understand the dynamic of the surgery, you will know for yourself that WLS is a tool to assit people that are struggling to lose weight and get health.  We work hard to overcome obesity and health problems related to obesity.  WLS Haters, please understand this message is not personal, I fell when our WLS  surgery family loses a great deal of weight it just as honerable as a  person that does it without WLS.  This message is my personal opinion.  God bless you no matter what decision you make in deciding how you deal with WL issues.

Hello WLS Family and Fellow Observers

Dec 13, 2008

First I would like to say hello.   For people wondering if weight loss surgery is easy. I must say no.  The real truth is the actual surgery is like  a rebirth or a tool to aid in a long up hill battle to overcome "THE BULGE."
I must say WLS is a process.  It is mental, physical, and spiritual.  When my WLS surgery family post messages to their blogs, it allowing the curious (like myself) into their world.
I can't lie to anybody and tell them I have regrets for making this life changing decision.  I don't have any regrets for my decision. I'm actually enjoying the process.
I want you as reader to know that it takes work and dedication to be sucessful on your WL journey.
I workout on regular basis, eat the foods that I was advised to eat, take my vitamins, and currently working on my water intake.
I encourage anybody that plans to have WLS to research. It took me a year.  I'm happy with the WLS and moreover excited about the results.
I will post pictures when I'm at the first goal my doctor set for me.  I feel like I want people to know more about the good and bad rather than just showing off my results.
I would like to say God bless You and thank you for your curiosity.

19 days Post-Op

Oct 19, 2008

I made a promise that I would give everybody an update of whats been going on.  I have a doctors appointment tomorrow.  It will be my first post-op appointment since my RNY surgery,  I thank God for getting me through the surgery.  I would like everybody to know considering Weight Loss Surgery (WLS), the surgery is very painful.  Everyday after surgery, the pain lessens.  The pain made me walk like I was advised to do.  I must tell those people who are consider having WLS the truth.  The WLS was one of the best decisions I have ever made in my entire life.  I'm glad despite the pain that I had WLS.  After surgery, I was taken off my blood pressure medicine and water pill. I'm amazed no more fluid retention.  I thank God for this surgery,  I will give everybody an update when I know how much I have lost in 20 days, until then God bless you and good luck on your WLS journey.
