I am 8 months & 1 day post op. Today, I met one of my goals! Next goal is to say I only want to lose 20 lbs like I hear so many skinny people say, lol.

Just a quick note. At 5 wks post op I woke up at 6 am & felt HUNGRY! I wasn't too happy about that but it is what it is & now I know when I have to eat instead of watching the clock, lol.

Hi! My name is Nissa. I have been married 21 yrs. & have 4 children. b20, g17, b16, g13. We have 4 dogs, 4 chinchillas, 3 birds, bearded dragon.

I became overweight while pregnant with my first child. 7 yrs ago, I lost over 100 lbs. to only gain it back plus some in 6 yrs. I started my research for wls in 07. I decided that the rny was the best option for me. I have Dr. Medlin from Duluth, MN. He had the gastric sleeve done on himself. He looks great & has the knowledge plus experience to perform his job well.

He said my surgery went great. I was very nausous when I came through but with the help of meds that passed in 15 hrs. I slept that whole time anyhow. Days 1-2 were fine with getting down most of my required liquids & no pain. Days 3-4 were very hard for me to get down liquids on 15 oz out of the 40 oz required. Also, on day 4 I was constipated but thanks to Milk Of Magnesia that was taken care of easily. The 4 night I started a cough & it continued through day 5 & that's all I have for now. So far today I have consumed 18 oz of liquids.

Everything is going great. My dh & I lost between 10-17 lbs. but now the last 2 days nothing. Not a big deal though because we haven't been out walking.

I am in awe that I have surgery in just 5 days! Totally excited & 100% ready to begin a new journey.

Day 5 was a great day. I didn't have any oh my gosh, I'm hungry moments. Last night I had a dream about eating food again. I would eat it and then run to the sink and spit it out because I couldn't eat it. Hope I don't have too many more of those dreams!

Day 4 was ok. My day was busy but at night was quiet. This night I was craving food & nothing inpeticular. My husband & I went to the store & bought sugar free jello. That took care of my food craving 

Today was a great day. I didn't have any real hungry moments. Migraine again but may have been due to my daughters dance competition.

I had a good day today. No migraine, yayyy! Around 10:30 pm I felt the most hungry but by 11:30 it passed.
