Two Years Post Op.....Wow!!

Today I received congrats from OH on being 2 years post op!!I of course had not forgotten but I didn't blog either and I guess I should!!
It has not always been easy and I have not quite made it to my elusive goal weight!! But I am so very happy that I did this!
I have an appointment with the plastic surgeon next week and hope to have some work done.
I had lost 100 lbs when I joined the local TOPS group in December 2009 and have lost 40 lbs since then and am as of last week .2 from the goal I set with my PCP, that might have to change once I have surgery though!
This really has been the best thing I ever did for myself and I celebrated my 2 year anniversary by attending my first ever WLS support group last Wednesday night - there are people there in every stage of the journey and I think that I have found a place where I can talk to others and maybe even pass on some information.
I was never able to go previously as I had a Board meeting the same night that it was held every month, I'm off that Board now and I think it will be a good thing!!
Anyone contemplating surgery and reading this .... just know that although it is not a magic pill - WLS is a fabulous tool and if you are lucky enough to receive that tool, it can change your life.
