Nothing2LoseButLBS

After seven long years of trying to convince my doctor I was an ideal candidate for bariatric surgery, I am scheduled for my gastric banding on 9/7/2011.  I am ecstatic.

A little bit about my obesity history.  I have always been overweight for as long as I can remember.  This didn't stop be from being a dance competition winning, cheerleading squad making, social butterfly.... who is loved by all my family and friends.  They idolize my style, confidence and sparkling personality LOL  I became pregnant in 1998 and gained a whopping 80 pounds.  I am still 12 years later 80lbs. over my pre-pregnancy weight. I have tried EVERYTHING, you name it, I've done it.  but with my lifestyle and this snail like metabolism, I always break even.  Well not anymore, I switched primary care physicians and my new doctor referred me for bariatric surgery immediately.  I couldn't be happier.  I wish i could say I want to dance again, date again, wear a bathing suit again...but these are all things I do right now!!!!!....but if I could ride "El Toro" and "Kingda Ka" at Six Flags.... fix comfortably in an airplane seat with someone beside me and give my heart a much needed break, I'd be happy just to know the weight related health problems won't stop me from doing all the things I already love for many years to come and have more children *fingers crossed*  it's worth it and I will do the work!!!  Let the countdown begin. I have started eating more than once a day and increasing my water intake.  Gym starts tomorrow.  It's been a few months so I know they will be glad to see me.  I am so happy to be on my way to a healthier me.
