Still Here!!!

So Christmas has past and the hardest part is over right...not! I spaced the fact that I have two little girls. We all, husband, girls, and I, went out and about the other day and the girls got hungry so what do we do? We stop at McDonald's and get them some chicken nuggets which happen to be a favorite of mine. Then we were out longer than planned so we were also out for dinner. We got my youngest a cheeseburger from Burger King and my oldest daughter and husband Taco Bell. OMG...........the smell in the truck was so painfully good. I did resist the temptation to eat everything that came into the truck but it was so hard. Then last night my dad brings home KFC! What the H.E.double hockey sticks.....I was in my room and the smell just filled the house and I let myself go out to the kitchen to torment myself a little more. What was I thinking? I guess I wasn't.

I think that since I have made it through the first encounters of fast food places, I should be ok now. I will be staying at my parents house for about another week. Emma, my oldest daughter, goes back to school on the 5th of January so we will be back home soon before that. It is nice having my parents around to help me with the girls and help my husband keep his sanity. He is not use to being a stay at home dad...I think it is funny to be honest. I tried to pick up my youngest yesterday and it still hurts a little bit so I guess another week at my parents house is the smart thing for now.

I have three of the six incisions basically healed. I have one that the top of my pants rub so it is a little irritated. The other two are in places that stretch every time I move so they are just not healing. I keep guase and ointment on them so we will see how that goes. I see Dr. Burpee again on January 21 and I am hoping everything will be healed, at least on the outside.

I have lost a total of 25lbs since surgery and 29lbs since my highest weight. WHOO HOO. I do feel a little better but I know I still have a long way to go. One day at a time though is all I can do.
