Dr. Endres - I'm18 years postop

Back in 2002, I was almost 350 lbs. I was 48 y/o, and newly married with a 2 year old daughter.  My co-morbitities were HTN, severe chronic lower back pain, I had failed a 3-hour glucose tolerance test (essentially the early stages of diabetes), and was wearing CPAP to sleep. Two weeks prior to my roux-en-y surgery, I spent the night in a local hospital because I had experienced some chest pain. My surgery was performed at the Alvarado Medical Center in San Diego, and I was seriously blessed to have Dr. Jill Endres as my surgeon. She was absolutely marvelous, not only in her skills as a surgeon, but her wonderful care following the surgery. I will say, "She changed my life." I am now 67 years old, and weigh 160 lbs. I will be retiring from my occupation as a Registered Nurse in 2 wks, my daughter is now 20 years old and flourishing, and I remain married to the love of my life.  I just wanted to say thank you to Dr. Endres, and share my success story so someone might be encouraged that there is hope to those who suffer from obesity.
